‘LPBW’: Amy Roloff Reportedly Bought Her New Home Without Her Fiancé, Chris Marek, as a Co-Owner

We’ve been watching Little People, Big World for ages, and we can’t wait for a new season to start to see what Matt and Amy Roloff are up to next. As we know from Instagram, Roloff Farms just had their famous pumpkin season — and Amy noted she didn’t play as big of a role in the season as she usually does. While she’s had a lot going on in her personal life, we can’t forget that Amy recently sold her half of Roloff Farms to Matt — and she’s also been house hunting for months since the sale.

Amy finally found a new place to call home! We can’t wait to hear more details about her new place, but there was one thing about the sale that we noticed — and that’s that she’s the sole owner of the property despite being engaged.

Amy Roloff just bought a new home

Amy’s been posting to Instagram about searching for a home for months, and according to Radar Online, she finally found a place to call her own. As we saw on LPBW, Amy agonized over whether or not she should sell her half of Roloff Farms, as she lived on the property with Matt Roloff for years prior to their divorce. She finally made the choice to bite the bullet and move on, however, as taking care of the farm property would be a huge undertaking if she was to do it on her own.

Finding a new place has proven tough for Amy, but Radar reports her new home is in a quiet suburb just 15 minutes away from the farm. She bought it on Sept. 27, 2019, for $588,500.

While she doesn’t have the land she had with the farm, the place still appears to be spacious, as it has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The publication notes the kitchen looks beautiful and perfect for Amy to continue her baking ventures, as it’s entirely black marble stone and oak wood. And the living room boasts a marble fireplace. As for the backyard, it’s noted Amy is also now the owner of a jacuzzi that’s on the property.

She recently got engaged to Chris Marek

LPBW fans may remember when Amy was first getting to know Chris Marek on the show, and now they’re engaged. These two have been dating for about three years, and while Amy stated after her divorce with Matt that she never thought she’d tie the knot again, she’s totally changed her tune.

She showed off her ring in an Instagram post with the caption, “Guess what! I wanted to share with you- I’m engaged! I was so surprised when Chris asked me to marry him. I said YES. I couldn’t be happier and so looking forward to this new part of our life journey together. I’m blessed. Love you Chris.”

Amy recalled the moment Marek proposed to her in yet another post. “Chris and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary of dating last Wednesday. And to my wonderful happy surprise he proposed and asked me to marry him! I couldn’t believe it it! I cried, he had tears and of course I said YES!” she wrote. “I’m engaged and couldn’t be happier. I love this man so much.”

Amy is reportedly the sole owner of the house

Everything seems to be coming together for Amy. She’s engaged and she just bought a home, and many might assume Amy and Marek bought the house together. According to Radar, that’s not the case. The deed has Amy as the sole owner of the house, though Marek did help her find the place, as he was the real estate broker who sold it to her.

Amy has talked about owning her own property without Marek in the past, too. In a past Facebook Live video, Amy talked about how she’d want to own a home independent of Marek. “Yes, this will be my home. It’s using my resources. And if, you know, whatever happens to Chris and we do get married or whatever it is, then, you know, he and I will work those things out at the time,” she said.

This was said before he proposed to her, of course, so we’re guessing conversations have since changed. Either way, we’re betting Marek will move into the home even if Amy’s the sole owner. Congratulations, Amy!
