‘LPBW’: Amy Roloff Said She’s Not Taking All of Her Belongings With Her to Her New House
Fans are anxiously awaiting the return of Little People, Big World in 2020, as Season 14 ended with Matt and Amy Roloff at serious odds. Matt and Amy divorced years ago and have now totally moved on with new relationships. And during Season 14, Amy had a serious decision to make regarding what she wanted to do with her living situation on Roloff Farms.
Post-divorce, Matt and Amy both lived on the family farm property in separate homes. And while Amy was scared to move into a new place all on her own, she did what she thought was right and sold her half of the farm to Matt. Now, Amy has a new place — and she’s keeping her followers informed on what’s going on, including the moving details. Here’s what she recently said on her Instagram Story about the big move and what she’s taking with her.
Amy Roloff bought a new house near Roloff Farms
Amy’s about to shed her old life on Roloff Farms, but she won’t be too far from the property she knows and loves. The LPBW star sold her half of the farm to Matt for $667,000. And according to Radar Online, she bought her new place for $588,500 — and it’s just 15 minutes away from the farm.
The new home in Hillsboro, Oregon, is reportedly located in a quiet, quaint neighborhood. While Amy won’t have the 36 acres of land she had with the farm, her new place sounds perfect for her, as it won’t require the same level of upkeep as Roloff Farms. The new house has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and is a total of 3,767 square feet.
While Amy is engaged to her partner of three years, Chris Marek, it looks like she’s the sole owner of the new place, too. Marek helped Amy find the place, as he’s a realtor, but the property is completely in her name.
She noted it’s taking longer to move than she thought it would
Moving isn’t easy, and it’s particularly difficult when you’re a reality star in the public eye. And while many expected Amy to be off of Roloff Farms by now, she noted it’s taking longer to move than anticipated.
“A lot has happened in the last almost 3 months in my world. Whew! Many different emotions from happy and elated to sad and stressful,” Amy wrote on Instagram on Nov. 14. “From my birthday, to getting engaged and going to be a grandma very soon again to my Mom passing away, her memorial service in Michigan, and the length of time, much longer than thought, it’s taking to move out of the farm house to dealing with contractors in a new house.”
It seems part of the reason for Amy’s moving delay might be because she’s making her home accessible for her height.
Amy mentioned on Instagram that she’s not taking all of her things with her
On Dec. 22, Amy gave her Instagram followers an update on her move via her Instagram Story — and it seems she’s officially ready to relocate.
“Today’s the day, Sunday. I am moving. Packers are here, they are moving all the big stuff. … I have lots to pack,” Amy told her phone camera as she showed off her home in complete disarray. “I’m packing up all of my mugs. I collect a lot of mugs. Anyway, I am moving today. And look at all that stuff there. Lots of stuff.”
As Amy panned around the room for her followers to see, she also mentioned she’s not taking everything with her. “All that stuff, I gotta figure out what to do. Half of it’s going to be staying in the house. But today’s the day. I am moving!” she exclaimed.
As for what Amy’s taking and leaving, we’ll have to wait and see. But we’re excited to get more details about her new place!
