‘LPBW’: Amy Roloff’s Fiancé, Chris Marek, Made a Special Appearance During Her Live Video
There’s a lot going on for Amy Roloff from Little People, Big World. While the new season of the show will reportedly air this spring, we’ve been keeping up with the Roloff family matriarch for months thanks to her Instagram. And a ton has changed since she told ex-husband Matt Roloff that she’d be moving off of Roloff Farms for good.
Now, we know Amy bought a new home and is working on moving all of her things from the farm to her new house. Thankfully, she has her kids to help her — and, of course, she has her fiancé, Chris Marek. Marek and Amy have been together for three years, and he finally proposed to her in September 2019.
While Amy’s a frequent poster on Instagram and Facebook, fans only see Marek every once in awhile. But he made a surprise appearance on Amy’s Facebook Live video at the end of January. Here’s what happened.
Amy Roloff and Chris Marek haven’t yet set their wedding date
Many LPBW fans have been following the saga of Amy’s new relationship since the beginning. While she was doubtful she’d ever meet another man after her divorce from Matt, Marek proved her wrong. After a few dates riding on his motorcycle, the couple established a strong connection. And in September 2019, he finally proposed.
“I couldn’t believe it! I cried, he had tears and of course I said YES! I’m engaged and couldn’t be happier. I love this man so much,” Amy captioned an Instagram post on Sept. 25.
With Amy moving off of Roloff Farms, she hasn’t had much time to think about her upcoming wedding, though. Amy and her friend, Lisa, took to Facebook Live during the holiday season in 2019 and talked about the engagement. And when one of Amy’s fans asked her if she’s set a date, she replied, “No, we haven’t.” She did mention that she’s thinking 2021 will be the year she ties the knot, though.
Some fans weren’t a fan of Marek at first
Amy seems quite happy with her partner, but some of her fans haven’t always been pleased with Marek’s behavior. Past episodes of LPBW showed Marek getting upset with Amy for seemingly menial issues. While Amy told the cameras that she “messed up” and felt extremely bad about making Marek upset, some of her followers came to her defense.
“Amy, you can do better than Chris. Alone would be better than having to gravel and beg for his mercy because you were late,” a follower commented on her Instagram.
And another told her to “Run….fast!” as Marek’s reaction was “not good!”
Not, it seems Amy’s followers are changing their tune when it comes to Marek. While the show may have portrayed him in a negative light from time to time, it’s clear he truly cares for Amy, as he’s been instrumental in assisting in her house-buying ventures and move. And it seems like Amy’s kids really enjoy Marek’s presence, too.
Marek appeared fun and personable on Amy’s live video
Amy will post occasional photos with Marek. But since Marek doesn’t appear to have a social media presence, we never get to hear about his thoughts or feelings aside from what’s shown on the show.
He did make an appearance during Amy’s Facebook Live video on Jan. 26, though. While Amy was once again talking to the camera with Lisa about her life, Marek entered into the home unexpectedly. And he was all smiles as he appeared on camera.
“He just came home,” Amy announced while Marek smiled at the camera, fixed up his hair, and hugged Lisa. He then gave Amy a kiss.
“More hardware for many chores,” Marek told the camera while showing off a tool in his hand.
“He’s helping me with all the projects in the house,” Amy added. Marek then waved and headed elsewhere in the house to seemingly help with said projects.
It was nice to see Marek so relaxed and happy, as he doesn’t often appear that way on LPBW. Maybe he’ll make more appearances during Amy’s live videos in the future, too. As the couple’s wedding draws closer, we’d love to hear more from his perspective!
