‘LPBW’: Fans Are Loving What Matt Roloff Is Doing For Grandson Jackson Roloff on Roloff Farms
Little People, Big World has been on the air for nearly 15 years, and a lot has changed in the lives of the Roloff family. Matt and Amy Roloff are no longer together, and their four kids are all grown up and starting families of their own. And fans adore watching Zach Roloff, his wife, Tori, and their son who has the same type of dwarfism as Zach, Jackson.
Jackson Roloff is just 2 years old, and he’s definitely one of the most adored members of the family. And now that Zach and Tori are expecting baby No. 2 this November, fans can’t wait to see how he’s going to act as a big brother. It seems Matt also has a special place in his heart for Jackson, too, as he’s creating something special for the child on Roloff Farms. Here’s what Matt’s up to.
Tori Roloff once wrote about a realization she had with her son, Jackson
Both Jackson and Zach have achondroplasia, and Tori does her best to understand the possible limitations and hardships her son may experience in his life as a result. But at the end of the day, she told Instagram that she still forgets that Jackson is any different than other kids his age. “I forget that he has shorter legs, because he can get around and run just like any other 2 year old [sic],” she captioned this Instagram post. “I forget he has short arms, because he can still reach everything around the house (even the stuff we don’t want him to). I forget that he’s different because he’s so capable and I see nothing other than my mister mister [sic].”
Within the same post, Tori explained that when she took Jackson to the local festival, he was unable to ride some of the attractions because of his short stature. “Jackson wanted so bad to ride the airplanes that went up and down but the height requirement wouldn’t allow him to (which I totally understand!),” she wrote. “It was really the first time I was hit in the face with the fact my child is different.”
Matt Roloff is making a play structure just for Jackson
Matt just referenced this Instagram post in a social media posting of his own. He’s alluded to fans that he has something in the works for his grandson, though he’s now just giving clues as to what it could be. And it seems it’s a large play structure in the shape of an airplane that any child of any height can safely play on.
As Matt wrote on Instagram, “Remember when @toriroloff wrote a post about taking Jackson to the county fair and he didn’t meet the height requirements .. so he had to watch the taller kids his age get to ride while he stood there and just watched [sic].” He then added, “Jackson LOVES airplanes! Well now…Phase one is complete and bringing the project back to the farm to put into place.” It doesn’t seem like it’s ready just yet, but we can’t wait to get more updates, as Matt wrote, “Don’t tell Jackson yet.. but grandpa is making absolutely sure he can access every single part of this new play structure. No height requirements on grandpa’s watch!”
Fans also want Matt to keep the farm for Jackson
Fans are loving what Matt’s doing for Jackson on the farm. “You’re such a great grandpa! Your kids and grandkids are blessed!” they commented on his Instagram post of the airplane structure. And they’ve also told Matt that he should keep the farm despite the drama surrounding the property. We know Amy Roloff sold her half of Roloff Farms to Matt recently, as she’s looking for a new place to call home. And fans are concerned that Matt may give up the farm completely now that he has another home in Arizona with his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler.
If there’s anyone Matt should keep Roloff Farms for, fans think it’s Jackson. It’s clear on Matt’s Instagram that his grandson adores the property — and many have said as much on various posts. “Can’t believe how much he loves the farm. Watch out Matt give it a year and he gonna be running the farm lol [sic],” a follower commented on this post.
Will Matt hand down the farm to Jackson? We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
