‘LPBW’: Matt and Amy Roloff’s Son, Jeremy, Said Why He’s Not Buying Roloff Farms

We’ve come to know the Roloffs quite well thanks to Little People, Big World — and a ton has changed since the show first started. While Matt and Amy Roloff started the show as a married couple, they’ve since divorced and are now in new, serious relationships. And that left the fate of Roloff Farms in question. The family business has been a mainstay on the show since it first began, but with the divorce and their ever-changing lives, fans are wondering what’s going to happen to the property now.

Fans would love to see Roloff Farms stay in the family — and they were holding out hope that Jeremy might buy the property and take over. Unfortunately, Jeremy just said why he’s not buying anytime soon.

The last season of LPBW showed Amy struggling with her toughest decision yet. She and Matt decided to split the farm 50/50 post-divorce, but they both knew this would remain a temporary solution. For that reason, Amy had to make a decision whether she wanted to stay on the property and keep the farmhouse she’d be living in for years, or move on with her life. During the finale, we learned that Amy chose to sell her half and is now living on Roloff Farms until she buys a new home and moves.

As Amy explained on the show, “The farm worked for me because we had two people making it happen. I can’t do it on my own.” She also said that she doesn’t think “Matt has made it easy,” which also added to the stress. Her recent Instagram posts show her in high spirits as she’s looking for a new house, though, so it seems things are looking up.

Matt may not want to keep the farm once Amy moves

Amy’s made her future plan known, but what about Matt? While he’s still doing plenty of work on the property and keeping it well-maintained, we’re not so sure if he’ll actually keep it. We can’t forget that he’s called the farm a “burden” in the past, too. “There’s part of me that wants to keep the farm and build a house that suits me, but part of me just wants to sell the farm and liquidate it and move on. It’s a burden,” In Touch Weekly reminds us he said.

Matt also provided some telling information in an Instagram comment. He has a home in Arizona with his girlfriend, Caryn, and he told one of his followers that he’d love to leave the farm behind and move states. “I would love Amy to buy her side of the farm and let me move to AZ full time. She’s scared to death of the work and attention it would take [sic],” he mentioned on this Instagram post.

Jeremy Roloff may not be buying the farm, either

With two grandkids and more on the way, LPBW fans would love for Matt to keep the farm for the little ones. And there’s been plenty of talk that perhaps one of his kids will take it off of his hands. Jeremy Roloff, who’s daughter, Ember, often visits the farm, even discussed wanting to purchase a farm of his own on Instagram. After going to Young Living Essential Oils convention recently with his wife, Audrey, he wrote, “I’m totally re-inspired to eat healthier, consistently exercise, and to buy a farm.”

Unfortunately, it seems he doesn’t have Roloff Farms in mind. One fan asked, “Why not your family’s farm?” and Jeremy responded with, “very expensive.” Others remained hopeful that something could be arranged, though. As one follower wrote, “maybe his parents will eventually work out a deal with him to buy it…..wouldn’t that be great? Then it could remain in the family for the grandkids to grow up on [sic].”

We’ll have to wait and see what happens with Roloff Farms in the future. For now, we’ll enjoy it as Matt and Amy both still reside there!
