‘LPBW’: Zach Roloff Definitely Misses Amy Roloff Taking Part in Roloff Farms Pumpkin Season

Those who keep up with the Roloff family are very familiar with Roloff Farms pumpkin season. Matt and Amy Roloff make a killing during the fall months as fans from across the country come see the farm and meet their favorite stars from the show. But now that Matt and Amy are divorced, everything’s changed. Amy’s move off of Roloff Farms made her future with pumpkin season unclear.

Zach Roloff, Matt and Amy’s son, talked about the impact of his mother’s move, too. And he stated on the show that Amy’s decision to leave pumpkin season behind would have a major unfavorable impact.

Amy Roloff said her move will impact how much time she spends on Roloff Farms for pumpkin season

On Season 20 of LPBW, Amy’s working on moving off Roloff Farms. And that means she’s also leaving behind the possibility of working on the farm during pumpkin season. She discussed this with her fiancé, Chris Marek, in episode 6.

“Pumpkin season will be interesting. Not sure how much time I’ll really have to be involved there,” Amy told Marek. And when he questioned further, she said she’s “got a lot going on with the house and life.”

Amy then talked more about her decision to step away from pumpkin season to the cameras. “There is so much going on in my life right now that I kind of feel detached from pumpkin season. Getting engaged, which is exciting, moving off the farm, and just kind of worrying about my mom’s health,” she noted.

Marek knows how much Amy loves pumpkin season — and he knows she’ll miss it. “I think she will be missed,” he said. “It’s unfortunate and I feel for her.”

Matt Roloff said it’s getting more difficult to care for the farm property

Taking care of Roloff Farms was hard enough when Matt and Amy were both involved. But now that Matt’s taking the lead on caring for the property, it’s become more difficult. We know he has a home in Surprise, Arizona — and he frequently talks about how much he loves it down there and feels burdened by Roloff Farms. And he talked even more about the difficulties of the farm on the show.

“I’m really starting to assess how much physical energy I want to put into this. Everybody gets to be my age, late 50s, and you start to think about retirement,” Us Weekly notes Matt said on the show.

Matt mentioned on the show that the pumpkin season area of the property was “up in the air” when it comes to its future, too.

“Pumpkin season is a wonderful time and I think we’ll miss it if it goes away, but it also takes a lot of my dad to do, and he’s spoken in the past of moving on from it,” Zach added to the camera.

Zach Roloff said Amy will be missed if she steps away from pumpkin season

If Matt steps away from Roloff Farms, it looks like it all might rest on Zach’s shoulders. He loves the farm, and so does his son, Jackson. And he talked about Amy’s absence from pumpkin season, too.

“My mom is trying to move out and she is also planning a prom, so I don’t know how much time she’s gonna have to come to pumpkin season,” Zach said. “It’s a really big deal my mom has a reduced role because she’s such a big part of it. It won’t be the same if she’s not here a lot.”

Zach then explained that Amy’s the one who’s always out mingling with guests in her Halloween costume — and fans love it. Without her, it’s not the pumpkin season everyone knows and loves. “It’d be great if she could find time — some time — to come down,” Zach added.

We’ll have to wait and see how the pumpkin season drama unfolds!
