‘Lucifer’ Season 6 Receives Fall Premiere Date

There’s only one more season for Lucifer and all Lucifans to crack “Oh my me” jokes. The fallen angel’s reign is coming to an end with season 6, and Netflix is shortening the release window. While season 5 dropped in two parts and broke some viewers’ hearts, the next installment of the TV show will bring Deckerstar, Maze, and the rest of the crew together for one last dance.

‘Lucifer’ Season 6 arrives fall 2021

After Lucifer part 5B arrived in May, the series left fans clamoring for more and asking, “What now?” Lucifer seemingly has a new job, and everyone wants to know how he’s going to handle it. Well, the wait won’t be long, as season 6 drops on Sept. 10.

Will there be satanic panic? Is Dan trapped in Hell forever? Will Maze and Eve get hitched? Does God need to return? How’s Trixie doing? It’s anyone’s guess, but here’s the synopsis that Netflix is offering up:

This is it, the final season of Lucifer. For real this time. The devil himself has become God… almost. Why is he hesitating? And as the world starts to unravel without a God, what will he do in response? Join us as we say a bittersweet goodbye to Lucifer, Chloe, Amenadiel, Maze, Linda, Ella and Dan. Bring tissues.

Season 16 will consist of 10 episodes for its last curtain call, wrapping up each character’s storyline. And according to the trailer, a few surprises and familiar faces are in store.

Team ‘Lucifer’ appeared at Comic-Con at Home

In a fun turn of events, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s very own Lucifer Morningstar showed up to host the Lucifer Comic-Con @Home panel. Luke Cook interviewed Tom Ellis along with showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson. What did they chat about?

Team Lucifer made the official announcement about the Lucifer Season 6 release date and reminded fans that filming wrapped as season 5 aired on Netflix. They also clarified that Lucifer and Chloe are not really engaged, but there was a symbolic moment in the latest season. Fans need to watch to see what happens with Deckerstar.

Although Modrovich and Henderson wouldn’t dish on whether Lucifer acquired ALL of his father’s powers, they assure viewers that it’s one of the central questions heading into the final chapter. Additionally, Ella’s faith and love life will also be explored more.

Lucifer fans receive cool bonus gift from Netflix

Modrovich and Henderson admitted that they do read fan comments on social media, and apparently, so does Netflix. The streamer is granting one devilish wish by adding Lucifer avatars to its lineup. Now, viewers can select their favorite characters as profile pictures just in time for the last season. It’s giving Brady Bunch vibes, which seems perfectly fitting for this gang.

So far, Chloe, Ella, and devil-face Lucifer seem to be frontrunners on Twitter, but have a go with Amenadiel, classic Luci, Linda, Dan, or Maze. Let these serve as daily reminders that 10 more hours of good times with Lucifer, Chloe and the rest of the crew rain down on the world on Sept. 10.
