Mandy Moore, Billy Porter, And More Of Your Favorite Nominees On the 2019 Emmys Red Carpet
Of course, we love watching the Emmys in order to see who will win. But for many viewers, the best part of the show comes before the actual ceremony. That’s right, we’re talking about the red (err, purple) carpet.
Here are some of the biggest names in show business, who were in attendance as nominees at the 2019 Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 21. Let’s take a look at the hottest looks as seen on TV’s greatest night.
Sterling K. Brown
Brown came to the Emmys both as a past winner and a current nominee. He was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series for This Is Us. Brown showed up in a red and black tuxedo with a red bowtie. He completed the look with some stylish sunglasses.
Veep star Anna Chlumsky has been acting since she was a child, but only in recent years has she made her way to the Emmys. She’s nominated once again for her supporting role in the HBO comedy, which recently came to an end. Chlumsky stunned on the purple carpet in this shimmery teal and purple gown.
Leave it to Porter to make a splash with his Emmys getup before even arriving at the event. He did a photoshoot in his Michael Kors Couture suit. His outfit is actually a bit more toned down than usual, but then again, he is channeling Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Chrismas with a gravity-defying Stephen Jones millinery cowboy hat. So it’s still pretty out-there.
Cox has been nominated for her work in Orange Is the New Black three times. Now, she’s attending the Primetime Emmys in a gorgeous black and purple gown, featuring an extravagant poofy skirt and a giant flower on the shoulder.
Leave it to Game of Thrones star Christie to bring the fantasy middle ages-inspired look to the purple carpet. Her dress is a bit more than her character in the HBO record-breaking series would wear, but it’s a pretty incredible Gucci getup just the same. Christie is nominated for the first and last time for GoT for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series.
She’s a multi-talented singer-songwriter and actress. While Moore is just finally getting back into music after an elongated absence, she’s been portraying Rebecca in This Is Us for the past few years. And this year, she’s finally nominated for an Emmy for the drama series. She walked the purple carpet in a pink and red ensemble that reads as both sexy and classic Hollywood.
