Leak teases more Avengers

Despite many of our favorite characters moving on after the events in Endgame, Marvel has more Avengers movies in the works. According to Movie Web, the leak claims that the studio has plans to release three additional films related to the Avengers franchise, including Dark Avengers, Young Avengers, and New Avengers.

It is unclear when the movies will begin production, though New Avengers appears to be first in the lineup.

Details about where the Avengers are headed is unclear. There is also a chance that the studio goes a different direction, depending on how the next movie is received at the box office. That said, it is exciting to know that producers are looking to extend the popular franchise well into the future.

Exactly which characters will be a part of the new ensemble, of course, is yet to be seen, but there may be some clues hidden in the upcoming solo projects.

Marvel gears up for Phase 4

Apart from Avengers, Marvel Studios is planning to release several standalone films in the coming years. The first movie in Phase 4 is the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home, which opens in theaters on July 2. After that, there is rumored to be a solo Black Widow movie in the works, along with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Black Panther 2. James Gunn will return as director for the new Guardians flick, though fans may be disappointed to learn that Nova will not be introduced as a new character.

As far as Black Panther is concerned, Michael B. Jordan is expected to return in the sequel. It is unclear what role Jordan’s character will play, but considering everything that went down in Endgame, his return is not that big of a stretch.

There are also rumors that the sequel will introduce Queen Divine Justice. In the comics, the character is a hidden princess that was raised in America.

Kevin Feige to reveal more this summer

In light of the leaks, the head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, should give fans further updates on Phase 4 at San-Diego Comic-Con. Marvel has a history of revealing plans during the annual event, though it is unknown how much Feige will spill. At the very least, we should be able to determine if the recent leak is accurate or not.

In addition to the news about the upcoming Guardians film, the leak claims that Marvel is working on a standalone Nova movie. Details regarding the movie have been kept tightly under wraps, though we can hope that Feige gives us some kind of teaser this summer.

If not, it is possible that we learn something after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is the most likely source to introduce the character.

Which Marvel movies have been confirmed?

While Marvel has yet to officially confirm any movies outside of Spider-Man: Far From Home, we know that six projects are currently underway. The solo Black Widow film, for example, is currently in production in Pinewood Studios and Norway. Cate Shortland is helming the project, which is expected to open in theaters sometime in 2020.

We also know that production has started for The Eternals, while Shang-Chi is scheduled to start filming later this year. Black Panther 2, meanwhile, is being directed by Ryan Coogler and should start production early next year, followed closely by Doctor Strange 2.

Lastly, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will ramp up production around this time next year, though that project could be delayed as much as a year.

Marvel has not commented on any of the rumors surrounding Phase 4, but it is exciting to speculate about what is ahead for some of our favorite characters in MCU.
