Who Is Mary Trump? Donald Trump’s Niece Is Writing a Tell-All Book About the President
Since Donald Trump was elected as President of the United States, the Trump family has been under new scrutiny. There has been speculation surrounding Trump’s marriage to First Lady Melania Trump, the president’s finances and taxes have been the subject of much comment, and the nepotism he’s granted his children has also been examined.
In the past, these tell-all books and exposes surrounding the Trumps have come from outside forces looking in. However, in a forthcoming book, all of the tea and drama surrounding the Trumps is coming from within the family.
Here’s what we know about Mary Trump, Donald Trump‘s niece, and her new book, Too Much And Never Enough.
Mary Trump is Donald Trump’s niece
Mary Trump is the daughter of Donald Trump’s late brother, Fred Trump, Jr. Fred died in 1981 at the age of 42 from a heart attack as a result of alcoholism. He is the reason the president does not drink.
The president previously spoke about regretting not giving his brother a chance to carve out his own path. “I do regret having put pressure on him,” he told The Washington Post in 2019. “It was just something he was never going to want. It was just not his thing… I think the mistake that we made was we assumed that everybody would like it. That would be the biggest mistake… There was sort of a double pressure put on him.”
This is why Mary Trump hates Donald Trump
Mary Trump has had issues with her uncle since 2000 when she and her brother, Fred Trump III contested their grandfather’s will and sued his estate. The siblings claimed that Donald Trump and his siblings had the will “procured by fraud and undue influence.”
In retaliation, the president decided to cut off medical coverage for Fred III’s son, William Trump, who was born with cerebral palsy. “When [Fred III] sued us, we said, ‘Why should we give him medical coverage?” Donald told The New York Daily News at the time. “I can’t help that. It’s cold when someone sues my father. Had he come to see me, things could very possibly have been much different for them.”
Inside Mary Trump’s book ‘Too Much and Never Enough’
Mary Trump’s tell-all book, Too Much And Never Enough will be released on August 11, just before the Republican national convention. The book will detail how the author became the primary source for the New York Times’ Pulitzer-winning investigation into Donald Trump’s “dubious tax schemes” during the 1990s.
Also, the book reveals “harrowing and salacious” things about Trump with accounts from the president’s sister, Maryanne Trump Barry. The Guardian reporting that Barry will reveal “intimate and damning thoughts about her brother.”
More damning is that Mary Trump accuses her uncle and grandfather of aiding in her father’s death. She claims that Donald Trump and Fred Trump “contributed to [Fred III’s] death and neglected him at critical stages of his addiction”
We shall see if anyone from the Trump’s camp responds to Mary Trump’s accusations.
