MCU Super Bowl Spot Reveals Big Details About Series Such as ‘WandaVision’ and ‘Loki’ on Disney+
During the Super Bowl on Sunday night, Disney+ released the first full footage of its upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe television series, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision. It also included information about Loki.
Here’s what will happen in the new shows
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will follow in the immediate aftermath of Avengers: Endgame as Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) will “team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience,” according to Disney+.
As far as WandaVision, the streaming service says the show ” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.”
Super Bowl commercial reveals footage of the shows
The fast-paced, 30-second commercial moves through a lot, so it is hard to understand any clear storylines. But from what we are able to tell, Falcon is donning the Captain America shield for the first time and the Winter Soldier has a gun to somebody’s head in The Falcon in the Winter Soldier.
As far as WandaVision, the incredibly trippy preview shows the duo paying homage to a number of 1950s and 1960s sitcoms and it looks like a total delight. And for Loki, we can gather the least from that preview but it looks like the trickster is up to no good, per usual.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision are debuting later this year on Disney+. Loki will debut in 2021 on the platform.
