The cast of Married to Medicine: Los Angeles
Married to Medicine: Los Angeles features a group of successful doctors and doctors wives: Dr. Imani Walker, Asha Kamali-Blankinship, Dr. Noelle Reid, Shanique Drummond, and Dr. Britten Cole, plus friend Jazmin Johnson. They’re all part of the “small and exclusive” African-American medical community in L.A., according to Bravo. On the show’s debut season, viewers will watch as the women make decisions about expanding their families, deal with past relationship drama, and struggle to balance work and family life “in the city of smoke and mirrors.”
Dr. Imani Walker is a psychiatrist who is the medical director of Gateways Hospital & Mental Health Center, where she sees patients who are coping with homelessness, schizophrenia, depression, and other issues. Standing 6-foot-2, Walker is a striking and statuesque, and she isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She’s married to Phil Johnson of the ‘90s R&B group Portrait, and she has a son named Idris.
Asha Kamali-Blankinship is married to Dr. Larry Blankinship, a physiatrist (physical medicine and rehabilitation physician). She’s an actress who created the web series Milk & Honey. She’s eager to start a family, but she and Larry haven’t been married long, which means she
Dr. Noelle Reid is the owner of Trinity Health and Wellness Center in Beverly Glen. She combines Western medicine with Eastern traditions, and she owns a yoga studio where she teaches yoga and meditation several times a week. Reid worked her way through medical school and residency as a single mom, but she recently met the man of her dreams, Erin Vines.
Shanique Drummond is a real estate property manager. She’s married to Dr. Robert Drummond, an urgent care physician. She comes from a traditional Jamaican family and though she has a full-time career, she’s also committed to being a supportive wife to her husband and a devoted mom to her two kids.
Dr. Britten Cole is an anesthesiologist. She’s a close friend of Dr. Contessa Metcalfe from Married to Medicine, who she met while they were both in the Navy. Cole previously lived in Orlando with her husband Mack Major and their two kids. She’s recently decided to move to L.A. to take her career to the next level, but her husband isn’t necessarily on board with her plan.
Jazmin Johnson is married to a successful Los Angeles psychiatrist. The Inglewood native is a full-time wife and mom who enjoys pursuing her hobby of photography. She’s a friend of Shanique, who introduced her to the rest of the group, but they don’t exactly all become fast friends, especially since Jazmin feels the other women don’t respect her.
Married to Medicine: Los Angeles premieres Sunday, March 10 at 9/8c on Bravo.
