Megan Thee Stallion Slams Rumors That She Lied About Getting Shot by Sharing Photos of the Gruesome Injury
Recently, Megan Thee Stallion’s claim that she was shot in the foot by Tory Lanez back in July has been questioned by people on social media. Though the rapper detailed the incident on Instagram Live, some were convinced she lied about the injury and have been claiming that she was never shot in the first place.
But on Aug. 19, Megan shut down those rumors once and for all by posting a photo of her bullet wound on Instagram along wrote a message to all the trolls harassing her.
Fans have accused Megan of ‘faking’ her injury
When Megan Thee Stallion opened up about getting shot in both feet during a July incident involving Tory Lanez, many showered her with an abundance of love and support.
Though fans — and celebrities — didn’t waste time sending the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper get-well cards and words of encouragement on social media, there were some people who were convinced Megan wasn’t telling the truth about her injury.
While many speculated that the young star never suffered a gunshot wound on that fateful night in July, their skepticism went into overdrive on Aug. 15 after she was spotted without a bandage on her foot.
In a photo shared to DJ Khaled’s Instagram, Megan’s foot was visible under a table as she sat on the couch with the We the Best Music Group founder and two other individuals.
Since the ‘WAP’ rapper wasn’t wearing a bandage on her foot nor appeared to be injured, people immediately took to the comments and Twitter to accuse her of “faking” her injury. But the accusations didn’t stop there.
The following night, Megan was spotted out at a strip club, causing trolls to question if she was actually shot, despite her showing up to the party with a bandage on her foot.
Megan The Stallion showed proof her of injury to silence naysayers
Although she remained mum on the rumors that she lied about being shot at first, Megan Thee Stallion has finally reached her limit dealing with trolls.
Recently, the rapper hopped on Instagram to put those people who claimed she made up the narrative in their place. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Megan shared a photo of her bullet wound along with a caption slamming those people who called her a liar.
“Lol what I have learned abt majority of the people on social media is y’all like to hear bad news before good news, a lie spreads quicker than the truth, and y’all really be believing the shit YALL make up… I got hit at the back of my feet because when I got shot I was WALKING AWAY FACING THE BACK. Why would I lie abt getting shot?” she wrote.
The rapper continued, “Why are y’all so upset that I don’t wanna be in the bed sad? Why y’all upset that I can walk? I got my stitches out my feet like 2 weeks ago and I was ready to go celebrate WAP going number1… I usually don’t address internet bullshit but y’all people are so sick! God was really watching over me and I’m healing so well! Sorry I’m not as sad and miserable as a lot of y’all lol but ima keep being Megan Thee Mf STALLION.”
With that being said, it’s clear Megan is refusing to let anyone dull her shine. Hopefully, now that she has addressed the cruel rumors, trolls will stop harassing her on social media so that she can recuperate in peace.
