Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Recently Visited a Preschool and the Pictures Are Adorable
When Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex stepped away from their lives as working members of the royal family, they wanted to have a more normal life, out of the spotlight. Now that they have settled into life in America, the two have been doing more of the average everyday tasks that parents around the world take part in.
Where do Prince Harry and Meghan Markle live now?
After leaving the U.K, Meghan and Harry initially moved to Canada, then they stayed in one of Tyler Perry’s properties in LA while they looked for a forever home. LA proved to be a lot for the couple as paparazi constantly invaded their privacy. Meghan and Harry even had to file a lawsuit after the paparazzi took a picture of their son Archie playing in their backyard.
“Every individual and family member in California is guaranteed by law the right to privacy in their home,” the Sussexes lawyer, Michael J. Kump, said in the suit. “No drones, helicopters or telephoto lenses can take away that right.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are filing this lawsuit to protect their young son’s right to privacy in their home without intrusion by photographers, and to uncover and stop those who seek to profit from these illegal actions,” Kump continued.
Now, the Sussexes have purchased a new home in Montecito, California. The home has nine bedrooms and 19 bathrooms and even has a children’s cottage for Archie to play in.
“It is a peaceful home,” Omid Scobie, co-author of Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s a forever home and somewhere where they’ll lay their roots. It has space for Archie, a playground. Really, it’s gonna be a special part of their life.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visit a pre-school
Part of Meghan and Harry’s desire to live a normal life was so that they could do more hands-on volunteering without so much attention. Earlier this week, the Sussexes volunteered at an L.A. Preschool Learning Center.
While there, they planted flowers and vegetables in the school’s garden. Harry planted some forget-me-nots which were Princess Diana’s favorite flower.
“Everyone got their hands dirty digging holes for the new plants and seeds and making sure they were secure with enough soil,” a source told People.
The couple had also volunteered at the school before.
The Sussexes love to volunteer
At the start of the pandemic, the Sussexes helped deliver food with Project Angel Food in LA.
The pair first volunteered on Easter Sunday and then came back to help again.
“They told us they heard our drivers were overloaded and wanted to volunteer to lighten the drivers’ workload,” Richard Ayoub, the organization’s executive director, told Entertainment Tonight.
“I am blown away that they chose us. They care about our vulnerable population,” he continued. “Our clients are most at risk to contract the coronavirus, having compromised immune systems including heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, and most are over the age of 60.”
And even before Archie was born, the two used their status to give back. Instead of baby shower gifts, the pair asked their fans to make donations to charities for children and parents in need.
