Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Removed from the Royal Foundation Website, Leaving Only Prince William and Kate Middleton
Well, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially no longer a part of The Royal Foundation. The couple announced their departure from Prince William and Kate Middleton’s charity a few months ago, and their names were just removed from the organization’s official website. So what’s next for Markle and Prince Harry’s charitable endeavors?
Prince Harry and Markle are on their own
Under The Royal Foundation’s principals section, it now only lists Prince William and Middleton. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also been removed from the list of projects within the organization, making their eviction complete.
That said, you can still find a list of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s previous projects in the news portion of the website, but that’s about the only place they are mentioned.
According to Fox News, the couples announced their split in the charitable world this past May, revealing that Prince Harry and Markle were looking forward to venturing out on their own.
After the announcement, a source revealed that it was only a matter of time before the Sussexes and Cambridges parted ways, though it was not being considered a hard breakup.
The departure came amid rumors of a growing rift between Prince William and Prince Harry. There were also rumors circulating that Markle and Middleton were not getting along.
None of these reports, however, have been substantiated. For now, it appears as though the couples have different goals when it comes to charities and want the freedom to explore those options.
What’s ahead for Prince William and Kate Middleton?
With Meghan Markle and Prince Harry now out of the picture, Prince William and Middleton have renamed their organization The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The pair will focus on five different goals with their rebranded group, including conservation, mental health, youth, child development, and service.
Prince William and Prince Harry originally launched the organization in 2009. Middleton joined the team in 2011 after she tied the knot with Prince William.
Markle, meanwhile, did the same following her wedding with Prince Harry. The couples even appeared together in 2017 and were dubbed the Fab Four for their joint efforts.
Moving forward, the royal family assured fans that the Cambridges will continue to work with Prince Harry and Markle, despite their departure from The Royal Foundation. This includes team efforts in the field of mental health.
In fact, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton recently worked together to help raise awareness of mental health throughout the U.K.
Prince William and Prince Harry team up on new project
Despite the split, Prince William and Prince Harry recently joined forces in a new advertisement on mental health.
The brothers worked on a public service announcement to raise awareness on mental health and appeared alongside a slew of celebrities, including Glenn Close and Gillian Anderson. Middleton and Markle were also featured in the ad, marking the return of the Fab Four.
Prince William and Prince Harry have been very open about their own mental health issues over the years, most of which stem from their mother, Princess Diana’s, tragic death.
They even recently set up a hotline for people to call for information about mental health services and have vowed to continue work in the field.
After the ad aired this week across all major networks in the U.K., traffic to the company’s website increased dramatically.
Every Mind Matters, the organization behind the project, reported that their website actually crashed because of heavy traffic. Fortunately, they were able to get it back up without too much downtime.
As far as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are concerned, they have not commented on their recent removal from The Royal Foundation.
The pair only recently returned home from an extended tour of South Africa, where they visited several nations in the region. They also met with a number of their charities on the tour, further cementing their commitment to South Africa.
Although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer a part of The Royal Foundation, it is good to know that they are willing to work alongside Prince William and Kate Middleton whenever the opportunity arises.
