Are Meghan Markle’s Courtiers Causing Drama With Other British Royal Staff Members?

Meghan Markle is just trying to relax and enjoy her final days of pregnancy –but of course, people won’t let her be great. Since the Duchess of Sussex married Prince Harry in Mary 2018 –she has been plagued with bad press. There have been claims that the duchess has feuded with her staff, caused drama with her sister-in-law, Duchess Kate Middleton, and defied the queen. Markle has undoubtedly added her own flair to the British Royal Family –but we think most of these rumors have been fueled because of sexism and racism.

Unfortunately, though Markle is heavily pregnant –the drama has not died down. This time it looks like the duchess’ staff or courtiers are causing a bit of an uproar.

Are Meghan Markle’s courtiers causing drama with other British Royal staff members?

Meghan Markle should be resting and nesting –but apparently her staff has run amuck. According to royal expert and author Tina Brown–the duchess staff is causing a royal headache. Brown told CBS News, “What she’s dealing with are two-pronged horrors. One is the awful gossiping, feuding, sneaky, viperine, hissing courtiers of the different rival camps in the palace. Because Clarence House—where Prince Charles lives—hates rivals and competes.”

What caused the royal staffers to begin fighting?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have split their household from Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton’s in order to forge ahead with their own Sussex brand. However — it’s causing a bit of chaos already between their staffers, the Cambridge staffers, and Clarence House. Brown explained,

It’s like different TV shows, all competing with each other. They are trying to protect Charles and Camilla […] and then Harry’s staff and William’s staff […] they’re all kind of fighting. And then there’s the Queen’s lot which, of course, it’s the Big Brother of it all and they get the last say. But there’s a lot of hissy fits.

Does Meghan Markle think royal life is difficult?

Though Markle is still trying to adjust in her new life, royal biographer Penny Junor says that the duchess is finding royal life a bit difficult. Junor told The Sun, “Clearly there is something going on here. I think life must be very difficult for Meghan. She’s had a completely different life, she didn’t really know the British royal family, how it operated and what her life would be like. She is clearly used to being her own woman, operating at her own hours and behaving the way she needs to, to get on in a very, very competitive world.”
