Meghan Markle Is Using Nature to Bond With Archie in Canada

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are starting a whole new chapter in British Columbia, Canada. The two were back in the United Kingdom for a while to complete the last of their royal duties, but they left their son, Archie, back in Canada (the two were reportedly concerned about coronavirus).

The couple seems to be adjusting well to their new home, and Meghan has already found a new way to bond with her son: Taking long walks through the woods.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left the royal family for several reasons

When Meghan and Harry announced back in January that they were stepping back from their roles as senior royals, it seemed obvious why: The two had been hounded by the media ever since they wed. Meghan was having a difficult time appealing to the public due to the media’s rumors, and eventually, it proved to be too much for the two.

But there was another reason the couple left the family as well: Archie. Growing up, Harry never enjoyed the spotlight, and he and Meghan decided that they wanted to raise their son with a more private life.

Meghan has reportedly been loving the peace in Canada

Ever since Meghan and Harry left the U.K. in January, they seem to be enjoying themselves much more. Those close to the couple have said they’ve loved embracing the outdoor lifestyle, which was hard for them to do when living at Frogmore Cottage. Meghan and Harry had much less privacy than they do now, and the duchess reportedly enjoys doing yoga on her downtime in Canada, too.

Meghan and Harry are still working hard, though. The two have taken more time for their family, but they’ve also made various public appearances throughout North America and are supposedly working to launch a brand new charity.

Meghan and Archie have been able to spend even more time together now that she isn’t away on royal engagements every day. A source close to the duchess has said that Meghan has been using nature as a way to get even closer to her son.

“Meghan takes a walk with Archie every single day through the woods,” the source reported. “The walks usually last around an hour or two, but she takes them daily.” The source also noted that the duchess either walks Archie in a stroller or straps him to her front with a baby carrier.

The two might not stay in Canada permanently

Right now, it’s unclear what Harry and Meghan’s next steps are in terms of where they’ll actually settle down. There have been rumors the two are making a permanent move to Los Angeles, but they’ve also reportedly been house hunting on Vancouver Island.

Some are still angry that Meghan and Harry left the royal family, but the two already seem to be happier now that they’re on their own. Plus, the move might actually end up strengthening their relationships with other members of the family.
