Inside Jessica Mulroney’s white privilege scandal

As Meghan and Prince Harry have expressed their passions for the Black Lives Matter movement, Mulroney has found herself in the middle of a messy “Karen” scandal.  Sasha Exeter, a Black entrepreneur, blogger, and brand marketer used her Instagram platform for a generic call to action. Without naming names, she called out her white peers who had been silent amid the global unrest over police killings of Black people and racial injustice.

It apparently struck a nerve with Mulroney and she began threatening Exeter’s livelihood. “What happened next was a series of very problematic behavior and antics that ultimately resulted in [Mulroney] sending me a threat in writing last Wednesday,” Exeter said in a video. She posted the evidence of Mulroney threatening her livelihood and a lawsuit.

Since then, Mulroney’s CTV series, I Do Redo, has been canceled and she’s been fired from Good Morning America. She has publically apologized saying that she will be stepping away from her public life for some time.

Meghan Markle isn’t friends with Jessica Mulroney anymore

Meghan is reportedly mortified by Mulroney especially since she’s been on the outs with her for some time. The duchess allegedly felt the stylist was  “benefiting” from her royal status.

“Their friendship is definitely not what it was. And really, how can you have such a close friendship when one person is basically making a career out of the friendship?” a source told Page Six. “The row has really given Meghan the excuse she was waiting for to cut Jess off for good.”

It didn’t help that Mulroney used the infamous “I have a Black friend” line in her apology. “As I told you privately, I have lived a very public and personal experience with my closest friend where race was front and center,” she said. “It was deeply educational.”
