Meghan Markle Just Took a Page Out Of Kate Middleton’s Book With Archie Harrison’s New Video

Meghan Markle is following Kate Middleton’s lead with a new video of Archie Harrison. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, just shared a rare video of Archie in celebration of his first birthday. The clip is the first time fans have seen Archie since back in December, and Meghan’s laid-back style in the clip drew comparisons to Kate, Duchess of Cambridge’s, recent photos on social media.

The royals wish Archie Harrison a happy birthday

In honor of his first birthday on May 6, members of the royal family took to social media to wish Archie a happy birthday. Prince William and Kate were among the first royals to share a heartfelt post about Archie when they uploaded a family pic of his christening.

“Wishing Archie a very happy first birthday today!” they captioned the photo.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles also shared an adorable photo from Archie’s christening. The black-and-white image featured Charles holding Archie with the caption, “A very Happy Birthday to Archie, who turns one today…”

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip joined the fun by sharing a photo of Archie that was taken shortly after his birth. The image was snapped inside Windsor Castle in May 2019 just two days after Meghan gave birth at London’s Portland Hospital.

To mark Archie’s birthday, Meghan shared a sweet video of her reading his favorite book, Duck! Rabbit!, while he rested in her lap. The Duchess of Sussex shared the clip on an Instagram page for Save the Children as the couple’s old account, Sussex Royal, is no longer active.

They are currently working with Save the Children to help people who have been impacted by the current crisis. As part of the company’s Save the Stories initiative, families in the United State and the United Kingdom will be given food and basic household items.

According to Hello Magazine, Meghan and Harry spent Archie’s birthday at their home in Los Angeles. The couple did not throw a big party for Archie due to the coronavirus pandemic and have been practicing social distancing until the crisis is over.

The Sussexes moved to Los Angeles in March. Sources claim the two are looking to buy a home in the area, where they will set up their home base. They are set to split their time between the US and the UK now that their exit from the royal family is official, though it is unclear when they will return to England.

Royal watchers have been looking forward to seeing a photo of Archie on his birthday, and Meghan’s post was seemingly inspired by Kate’s recent activity on social media. William and Kate are currently hunkering down at their country estate, Anmer Hall, with their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Over the past few weeks, Kate has been sharing behind-the-scenes photos of her children on social media. This includes recent pics of her youngest son, Louis, who turned two years old on April 23.

Most of Kate’s photos were taken by her and feature a more relaxed style than fans are used to. This is something Meghan apparently picked up on when she shared her latest video of Archie.

In the clip, Meghan looked more carefree than we have seen in a long time. The Duchess rocked a t-shirt in the video and revealed that she and Harry call their son, Arch.

We do not know if Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be sharing more photos of Archie now that they are no longer a part of the royal family, but there is no denying that fans loved seeing Archie return to action.
