Have things become too tense between Markle and Middleton?

Reports of a rumored ongoing feud between Markle and Middleton gained momentum for a while but seemed to have lost some steam, especially when the two duchesses looked happy as they rode together in the same carriage at the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

Despite things appearing to be better between the two, according to a new report, Markle has sought some support from her famous friends to help her adjust to her role in the royal family.

Markle is reportedly seeking advice from pal George Clooney

Markle may be looking to George Clooney and his wife Amal for some advice, with a source telling Heat magazine: “Meghan feels that the palace’s way of transitioning her from Hollywood actress to British royal did her no favors, and now she’s prepared to go over their heads and speak to the people she thinks can help her best.”

The source further noted: “You can’t get much more of a publicity powerhouse than George Clooney, or, more to the point a cleverer woman than Amal.”

In addition to providing her with parenting tips, the Clooneys are said to be offering up advice on how to handle her relationship with Middleton and counseling her on which charities she should work with.

Have Markle and Rihanna become friends?

In addition to the Clooneys, Markle has reportedly formed a fast friendship with Rihanna after the singer moved to London, as a singer told Closer: “It’s been tough for Meghan, but she finally feels like she’s settling in more to life in England, now she has a close support network there.”

While it’s been reported that Markle and Rihanna knew each other before Meghan married Prince Harry, they became closer after Markle joined the royal family.

An insider shared with Radar Online: “They actually have a lot in common in terms of style and a shared need for total privacy in their lives. They’ve bumped into each other a few times before Meghan was super famous and have a few mutual acquaintances on the Hollywood social scene who’ve put them in touch again recently.”

George Clooney has defended Markle in the past

While it’s unclear just how much support and advice Markle may be getting from the Clooneys, it’s clear that the actor is a fan of the duchess.

Clooney compared Markle to Princess Diana in a February 2019 interview, noting, “They’re [the media] just chasing Meghan Markle everywhere. She’s been pursued and vilified. She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she is being pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that [Princess] Diana was, and it’s history repeating itself… and we’ve seen how that ends.”

The following month he again remarked how the media treat Markle, noting on Good Morning Britain, “I think it’s a little unfair.” He added: “I’ve seen it when the press can turn on you for sort of ridiculous reasons and for almost nothing and it seemed… to be a little unjust since she hadn’t done anything except just happen to live her life.”
