Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have a lot in common. They both love to cook, eat healthily, are no strangers to cleanses, and are very active. But, perhaps one of the things they bond over the most is their shared interest — read: passion, in Meghan’s case — in yoga.
Both the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex are avid yogis and incorporate their practice into their busy royal schedules as a way to build strength, stretch, and relax in the midst of their stressful, jam-packed lives.

Do Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle practice yoga together?
While Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton likely spend a lot of time discussing the family business, motherhood, and other commonalities, they likely bond over their love of fitness. Both duchesses are big on working out as a way to stay in shape and keep their mental health in check — especially since royal life can get so crazy.
But, do they workout together? Although we would love to see Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle as yoga buddies, the two likely squeeze in their workouts whenever they can. Plus, they now live in separate royal abodes, making it that much harder for them to coordinate their sweat seshes.
However, with Meghan Markle’s mother — who works as a yoga instructor in Los Angeles, California — spending more time in the United Kingdom and her new in-home yoga studio at Frogmore cottage, the Duchess of Sussex might invite her sister-in-law over for a yoga session in the future.
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s workouts
In addition to yoga, both Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton incorporate a variety of workouts into their fitness regimen. Here are the workouts the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex swear by.
Running: Both royal women love to run. While Meghan Markle prefers to run on a treadmill to protect her knees, she has been seen jogging around Kensington Palace. Kate Middleton also likes a good outdoor jog and, according to Daily Mail, is known to jog as often as she can when staying at her weekend home in Norfolk.
Weight-Lifting: Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton also like a good gym workout where they can lift some weights, too. The only difference is that Kate Middleton doesn’t workout with a personal trainer and Meghan Markle does — or at least she did before joining the royal family.
Planks: To stay in tip-top shape, the Duchess of Cambridge incorporates a lot of planks in her fitness routine. According to Daily Mail, Kate Middleton adds three types of planks into her routine: a front plank, right side plank, and left side plank.
At-Home Workout DVDs: Meghan Markle is a big fan of at-home workouts that fit into her busy schedule and often turns to the Tracy Anderson Method to get her sweat on. “I’ve been doing the Tracy Anderson DVDs gosh for five, six years almost now,” she told Shape in 2013. “I just find that the results are great and you can do little 15-minute increments — I’ll do it in my trailer — and at the end of the day you’ve had a full workout,” she noted.
