Meghan Markle May Hire a ‘Baby Stylist’ for Archie

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is known for her style — brands sell out of items she’s seen wearing in hours — and now, thanks to a “baby stylist,” Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the son of her and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, may follow in his mom’s fashionable footsteps.

In the documentary, Meghan & Harry: The Baby Years, by Britain’s Channel 4 news station, Juliet Angus, a fashion blogger and American who now lives in London like Markle, claimed the Duchess of Sussex already knows what the future of Archie’s wardrobe will look like.

In the years to come as the young royal grows, Angus said Markle “will hire a baby stylist for Archie.”

She also joked Markle may ask British Vogue editor Edward Ennifel “to create a mood board of looks” for baby Archie.

Markle recently worked with Ennifel to produce a piece in the fashion magazine focusing on causes close to her heart. The spread, not yet published, is said to feature photographs of Markle in Frogmore Cottage, the Sussex family’s new home they spent a reported $3 million renovating in anticipation of Archie’s arrival in May.

Meghan Markle may make a ‘splash’ with Archie’s clothing

In an upscale baby store called Anita’s House, Emma Kendall, a royal expert, shared what she thinks Archie’s wardrobe will look like in the future.

“I think Meghan is really going to splash out when it comes to Baby Sussex’s wardrobe. Budget is not a problem for the Royals,” she said.

Kendall added Archie’s outfits will vary from those of his cousins — Prince George of Cambridge, 5, (who is known for wearing shorts and knee socks), Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, 4, and Prince Louis of Cambridge, 1,  — the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who have been dressed in more traditional clothing.

Prince George and Prince Louis have been seen sporting their father and uncle’s old clothes. For his official royal debut, Prince Louis wore the same outfit Prince Harry wore to Trooping the Colour at his own debut in 1986.

Archie will wear ‘gender neutral’ clothes

While the public has only seen Archie a handful of times since his birth on May 6, each time he’s worn gender neutral colors, predominantly white.

When Prince Harry and Markle introduced him to the world he wore a white outfit and again he wore white during his christening earlier this month, as evidenced by photographs the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared on their Instagram from the private event at Windsor Castle’s Private Chapel.

Most recently, Archie showed up at a polo match with his cousins wearing a white outfit yet again.

However, his mom did appear to have a muslin blanket with yellow detailing, sticking with the gender neutral theme the Sussexes are said to have followed in the young royal’s nursery where they reportedly chose shades of gray to color the walls.

While we don’t know for sure whether or not Markle will hire a “baby stylist” for Archie, we know he’ll have great style no matter what because of his mom’s fashion prowess.
