So much so that Doria Ragland is allegedly considering a move to the United Kingdom to live closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and their royal baby. But, where does Doria Ragland live right now? Does Meghan Markle’s mother live in Canada?

This isn’t the first time Doria Ragland and Meghan Markle have lived in different countries. Before Meghan met her prince charming, she lived on the East Coast of Canada in Toronto, Ontario. And, although Doria Ragland visited her daughter — and even spent time with her son-in-law in the Canadian city — she did and does not live in Canada.

Meghan Markle lived in Canada while filming the hit television series Suits before joining the royal family.

Where does Doria Ragland live?

Doria Ragland might not live in Canada, but she does live in Meghan Markle’s hometown, Los Angeles, California. According to the Telegraph, the royal-in-law resides in a house she inherited from her father in 2011. Her neighborhood, View Park-Windsor Hills is a pocket of properties between Culver City and Inglewood, east of the Los Angeles International Airport.

Despite her daughter’s big move, Doria Ragland allegedly still lives in her Los Angeles abode but could move to the United Kingdom — at least temporarily — to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and their baby on the way.

Is Doria Ragland moving to the United Kingdom?

Rumor has it, Meghan Markle’s mom could move to the United Kingdom. Ahead of the royal baby’s arrival, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are renovating a fixer-upper in Windsor. The building, known as Frogmore Cottage, once served as staff housing for Windsor Castle but, once completed, will be a 10-bedroom estate home for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their children.

As part of the renovation plans, Meghan Markle has asked for two very special spaces: A room for her mother and a yoga studio so that she can continue her regular practice at home. While the royal family has yet to confirm Doria Ragland’s permanent plans, it is understood that Meghan Markle’s mother will join her daughter to help care for Baby Sussex and support her through the early months of motherhood. According to The Daily Mail, the idea of moving closer to her daughter and her first grandchild has left Doria Ragland “beside herself with excitement.”

Inside Meghan Markle and Doria Ragland’s relationship

Not everyone would be thrilled to have their mother move in with them. But, given Meghan Markle and Doria Ragland’s relationship, the two are likely so excited to spend some more time together in this new season of their lives. Here’s a closer look at their relationship and what their lives might look like if Doria Ragland moves to the United Kingdom.

They practice yoga together

Meghan Markle is a dedicated yogi and she got it from her mama. As a yoga instructor in Los Angeles, Doria Ragland introduced her daughter to yoga at a young age. If Doria Ragland moves in with her daughter, the two could practice yoga together in the duchess’s new in-home studio.

Doria calls Meghan ‘Flower’

The royal family doesn’t allow nicknames publicly but, behind closed doors, Meghan Markle’s mother has the sweetest nickname for her only daughter. Doria Ragland calls Meghan Markle “Flower.”

The duchess brought her mother to a royal engagement

Royal-in-laws don’t typically attend royal engagements, but Meghan Markle doesn’t always follow tradition. When the Duchess of Sussex launched a cookbook with the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen, she invited her mother along to celebrate the publication.
