Meghan Markle Natural Birth Plan: Duchess of Sussex Is Planning to Use New Age Techniques

Meghan Markle’s birth plan might just involve some new age, natural childbirth techniques, according to a new report. Her mother, Doria Ragland, is also said to be helping Markle through the labor and delivery with a special massage technique.

Meghan Markle is preparing for pregnancy in a natural way

Markle’s interest in healthy, clean living points to the possibility of a natural childbirth experience. Among other things, Markle is said to be following a vegan diet, drinking green juice and caffeine-free herbal teas, and using meditation to help with any anxiety.

According to The Sun, her mom has been learning pregnancy massage so that she can help when Markle goes into labor, including how to use pressure points for pain relief and implement breathing techniques.

The Sun further notes that “Meghan is dedicated to following New Age birthing techniques, including chanting and breathing routines using natural smells and sound therapy” and is “taking her mum’s advice on the use of essential oils that help balance the female hormone system.”

Aromatherapy and crystals are also said to be of interest to the Duchess of Sussex.

Markle is tapping into spiritual techniques for pregnancy

According to a source, Markle “has always been very spiritual and has a great love for yoga, good food and mediation.” This interest is likely to transfer to the delivery room, as the insider noted: “Now she is taking it all to another level to make sure she is in the best place physically and mentally for the birth of their baby.”

Additionally, it’s reported that Prince Harry is fully in support of these techniques, with the source sharing: “She’s been trying spiritual techniques aimed at pregnant women and Harry has been supporting her. He has come round to her way of thinking after seeing the huge benefits of inner wellness.”

According to New! magazine, a source echoed the rumors of Markle using these techniques, noting: “Meghan is determined it will be a totally natural experience and she’s insisting absolutely no pain relief.” The source added: “She’s practicing a series of yoga labor coping techniques that mainly focus around breathing patterns and also chanting in rhythm to overcome pain.”

Will Meghan Markle give birth in the Lindo Wing?

There have been conflicting reports about where Markle will give birth, with a source telling The Telegraph earlier this year that the staff at the Lindo Wing were told “not to take holiday in April,” adding, “Everyone thinks it’s got something to do with the royal baby, but no one is confirming anything.”

Royals have given birth in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital for four decades, including Princess Diana, who had both William and Harry there, and Kate Middleton and Prince William, who welcomed their children there as well.

A source told The Sun that the couple’s “child will not be born at the Lindo,” noting that “Meghan doesn’t want to copy what Kate did.”

The source added: “Harry and Meghan realize there is intense public interest but this baby is not a direct heir to the throne and they want the birth to be as private as possible.”
