Despite Feud Rumors, Meghan Markle Says This is ‘the Happiest Period’ of Her Life
Meghan Markle’s new royal life has come with a set of challenges. Not only has the Duchess of Sussex had to go through royal etiquette training, learn the queen’s strict rules and protocol, leave her acting career, and move to a new country (among many other changes), but she has also had to deal with rumors of a feud with her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton and a potential Kensington Palace split. Yet, despite all of this, the Duchess of Sussex says this is “the happiest period” of her life. Find out why, ahead.
Meghan Markle is the happiest she has ever been
The Duchess of Sussex has tackled a lot of new in the last couple of years, particularly this last year when joining the royal family as an official member. But, through the changes and the tabloid rumors, Her Royal Highness has found a lot of happiness. “She has told friends that this is the most exciting [time], the happiest period in her life,” royal biographer Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight. “I am told that she is upbeat and that she is happy,” she added.
The reason for Meghan Markle’s happiness? Her pregnancy and future royal baby, of course! According to reports, the Duchess of Sussex is very excited to welcome her first child with Prince Harry this spring. She’s already celebrated with her best friends and an extravagant New York City baby shower and allegedly has plans for an additional shower (hosted by her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton) in London.
A new family home
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are moving into the next chapter of their lives with a new address, too. In preparation for a family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex renovated an estate home called Frogmore Cottage, where they plan to raise Baby Sussex (and any future children).
Their new family home is near Windsor Castle and offers a significant amount of privacy compared to their Kensington Palace abode. Frogmore Cottage features 10 rooms, completed with a nursery for Baby Sussex, a yoga studio and gym, and a guest room for Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to raise their royal baby out of the limelight so that he or she can grow up in a more normal setting.
Her mother has plans for an extended stay
It’s no secret that Meghan Markle and her mother, Doria Ragland have an ultra-close relationship. So, part of the reason why the Duchess of Sussex might feel so excited for this period in her life might have something to do with how often she will get to see her mother, who allegedly has plans for an extended United Kingdom stay this spring.
The first-time grandmother reportedly has plans to stay with her daughter and son-in-law during the early stages of parenthood to help them adjust to their new life. Some even believe she could become Baby Sussex’s live-in nanny. However, Kensington Palace has yet to confirm both scenarios.
