Will Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Raise Baby Sussex On A Vegan Diet?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are patiently awaiting the arrival of their bundle of joy –Baby Sussex. The little one is set to make his or her debut any day now. Luckily, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are all settled into their new estate in Windsor –Frogmore Cottage so they can enjoy being new parents away from the hustle and bustle of London and the prying eyes of the public.

People are already speculating on how Markle and Prince Harry will raise their little. From debunked rumors about raising Baby Sussex gender fluid, and without a royal title –now there is speculation about Baby Sussex being raised on a vegan diet.

Will Meghan Markle and Prince Harry raise Baby Sussex vegan?

Both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are very health conscious. The duchess tends to adhere to a plant-based diet during the week –eating her more guilty pleasures on the weekend. The prince has reportedly been eating “less meat and more fruit and veg” recently. However, an unnamed source is now alleging that the pair want to raise Baby Sussex on a vegan diet.

The alleged royal expert told Women’s Day, “Meghan wants her baby to be raised a vegan.” According to Live Kindly, “More parents are choosing to raise their children on a plant-based diet. In 2018, 1 in 12 families in the UK are raising their kids as vegan, mainly for health reasons.” The duke and duchess might also be planning to start Baby Sussex off on a plant-based diet and slowly introduce new foods to the little one.

Will Meghan Markle breast feed?

Luckily, rumors about Baby Sussex’s diet shouldn’t be a concern for some time. After all– the Duchess of Sussex will most likely breastfeed Baby Sussex for the first year of their life –not introducing baby food until they are at least four months old.

Breastfeeding is (thankfully) normalized in the British Royal Family. Queen Elizabeth II breastfed all four of her children. Princess Diana breastfed her sons, and Kate Middleton also breastfed all of her children. Meghan Markle may decide to breastfeed Baby Sussex –but it is a personal choice and doesn’t always come easily to every woman. If the Duchess of Sussex does decide to breastfeed, don’t expect to see any photographs of Baby Sussex latched on.

Meghan Markle’s favorite foods

Meghan Markle is a self-proclaimed foodie, so we doubt Baby Sussex will be vegan for life.  She once told Cosmopolitan U.K., “I could eat french fries all day.”  Also, she loves a delicious bowl of ooey-gooey mac and cheese.  She told EyeSwoon, “I now buy the Annie’s organic one if I’m craving it, but I throw some frozen peas into it and have this gooey simple childlike meal. I used to cook it for the kids I would babysit, and I always enjoyed feeling like a kid and eating with them.”
