Meghan Markle’s Prom Photo Is Shocking For 1 Reason
Meghan Markle might be struggling with her role in the British Royal Family as the Duchess of Sussex, but there is one thing she’s gotten right since her days as a teenager. While many of us have struggled to pull together the perfect outfit or get our makeup just right — Markle has mastered a poised and stylish look since her high school days.
From her glamorous coats to her perfect pumps and modern jewelry — the British press and public might have a lot to say about how the American and former actress approaches royal life, but none of them can say she doesn’t look the part.
In fact, Markle has been stunning, elegant, and graceful for over twenty years, and we have her prom photo to prove it.
Meghan Markle prefers a natural glam look
Like her sister in law — Duchess Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle prefers her hair and makeup looks to highlight her best features instead of covering her flaws. In fact, the duchess enjoys doing her own hair and makeup especially if the event she is attending isn’t a black-tie affair.
The duchess usually wears her hair down, or in a messy bun or slick ponytail. For her makeup, she typically goes for a subtle eyeshadow, pale blush, and natural lip color.
Markle has also spoken openly about hating photoshop, especially when photographers have tried to cover up her freckles.
Meghan Markle hasn’t aged since her high school prom
22 years ago when Markle was just 16, she attended the prom when her then-boyfriend, Luis Segura. Since it was 1997 — Markle was giving us super ’90s fashions with her slinky sparkly black dress, a choker, and her french tip manicure.
The young couple posed in front of a Christmas tree at Immaculate Heart High School. The Instagram account that posted the caption said, “16-year-old Meghan Markle [poses] with her first boyfriend Luis Segura at a high school Christmas dance in 1997.” Still, the real shock about the photo is that the duchess literally has not aged since the ’90s.
On IG follower commented, “She still looks the same, good genes.” Another added, “You could have told me that was taken last year and I’d wholeheartedly believe you.”
This is what Meghan Markle’s self-care routine looks like
Though Markle’s daily glam is super low mantience– the mama of one, still finds time to pamper herself. In addition to exercise and a healthy diet, her self-care routine involves beauty treatments a couple of times a month.
The duchess heads to Sarah Chapman, who owns the Skinesis clinic in Sloane Square, London for skincare treatments. As a part of her daily routine, Markle uses Champan’s Stem Cell Collagen Activator Duo and Ultimate Cleanse.
Every two weeks she heads to Sherrill Riley of Nails & Brows boutique in Mayfair for a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow shaping. When her hair is in need of a glossy blow out, she’ll go to Hershesons in Knightsbridge.
If there is anything we can learn from Markle’s flawless and ageless looks — it’s that sometimes less is more.
