Meghan Markle’s Signature Hair Style is So Easy

Meghan Markle has been the center of attention within the royal family ever since she married Prince Harry in 2018. She has been berated by the media and doesn’t seem to be in the world’s good graces, no matter how hard she tries. Despite some having negative opinions about the duchess, many do love her. Her look is always simple yet elegant; her hair is either down and wavy or up in a loose up-do. And that signature “messy bun” look is actually super easy to get.

Both Meghan and Duchess Kate Middleton are greatly admired for their beauty

Meghan and Kate Middleton are sisters-in-law who, according to the press, have butted heads a few times since Meghan joined the family. The public has seemed to take sides between the two and have grown to prefer one over the other — but one thing they both have in common is that they’re greatly admired for their beauty. Kate’s hair and outfits are often talked about in the news, and many people have also raved about Meghan’s youthful look and shiny, healthy hair.

Meghan’s hair always looks perfect

The Duchess of Sussex doesn’t sport too many wild hairstyles. At almost every royal engagement, Meghan’s hair is either straight, wavy, or styled in an effortless looking up-do that could also be called a messy bun. Though messy buns are typically looked at as hairstyles people do when they are hanging around the house or doing yard work, the style has slowly transformed into a look that some women wear to high-priority events. It’s where classy meets casual, which is the image Meghan has seemed to stand by since joining the royal family. Some have even referred to her as the new People’s Princess, the nickname formerly given to Princess Diana.

While we can’t say the same for Meghan’s youthful, glowing skin, it surprisingly doesn’t take much to get the duchess’ messy-bun look. According to Real Simple, Meghan’s look starts with a parting the hair in the center. Then, a few inches back from the top of the part, grab four-inch sections of hair, spray texturizing spray on the roots, and tease to create volume. Repeat this with all hair near the crown. Smooth volumized hair out with a brush to eliminate bumps. Next, pull hair back into a loose, low pony tail, and secure it with a hair tie. Spray hair with more texturizing spray, then twist the hair around the top of the pony to create the bun. Use bobby pins to secure it in place. Remove strands at the front of the hairline to create a “messy” look.

Diet often plays a large role in hair, too

Not everyone’s hair works the same way in terms of styling. Some people have hair that naturally has more texture than others. Fine, limp hair might not work as well to style, but one thing that plays a huge role in hair health is diet. Meghan has always been a very healthy eater; she enjoys whole, unprocessed foods, which are full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The best way to get healthy hair is to feed hair what it needs: Protein, biotin, and antioxidants.
