Meghan Markle’s ‘Deal or No Deal’ Briefcase Is up for Sale and It’s Insanely Expensive

Long before she was a member of the British Royal Family, and certainly before she got her big break as Rachel Zane on the hit USA drama series, SuitsMeghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex was just trying to make ends meet while living in Los Angeles.

One of Markle’s first showbiz gigs was working on as a briefcase model on the game show Deal or No Deal hosted by Howie Mandel. Markle was one of 26 briefcase models when she worked on the series from 2006-2007.

Though Howie Mandel claims he doesn’t remember Markle — Chrissy Teigen who was also a suitcase model during 2007 says she remembers the duchess fondly. “I was on Deal or No Deal with her and she was lovely,” Teigen recalled to the Daily Mail. “Now everyone asks me what she was like and I say, ‘Sorry, no dirt.’ She’s gorgeous.”

Now, Markle’s Deal or No Deal suitcase is up for auction and if you want to snag it, it’s going to cost you.

Meghan Markle hated working on ‘Deal or No Deal’

We’ve all had jobs in our lives that we don’t remember all that fondly. For Markle — Deal or No Deal was one of those jobs. “Definitely working on Deal or No Deal was a learning experience,” she told Esquire.”I helped me to understand what I would rather be doing. I would end up standing up there forever in these terribly uncomfortable and inexpensive five-inch heels just waiting for someone to pick my number so I could go and sit down.”

It definitely does not sound fun to us.

Howie Mandel does not remember Meghan Markle from ‘Deal or No Deal’

Though Teigen certainly remembers Markle from the show — host Howie Mandel could not remember Markle to save his life. “To be honest, I don’t even remember her. I don’t,” Mandel told E! in 2018. “I’d like to say I do if she’s watching, and she’s not … right?” He then looked into the camera saying “I don’t remember you. I don’t remember you. I’ve seen a lot of pictures and I don’t.”

Though the America’s Got Talent judge could not place Markle, he did say that he wasn’t surprised someone from the show went on to marry royalty. Clearly with ladies like Teigen and Markle on the show, Deal or No Deal didn’t know the icons that they had access to.
