What is Meghan Markle’s Favorite Color? You Might Be Surprised
Meghan Markle loved to express herself through clothing, nail colors, and more before she married into the royal family. However, once she tied the knot with Prince Harry, she had to be more reserved about what colors she wore. But that doesn’t mean the Duchess of Sussex doesn’t have a personal favorite. What is Meghan’s favorite color?
The royal family has to be careful about the colors they wear
The royal family is one of the most well-known families in the world. And as a result, there are plenty of rules they need to follow; clothing is a big one. The style of outfit is important, but the colors the family members wear also matter quite a bit. According to InStyle, generally, the royals don’t wear black to daytime events. Princess Diana did this, and Kate Middleton has a time or two, but for the most part, it’s for mourning. When the royals go abroad, they’re expected to wear colors that represent the country they’re visiting. In large crowds, the royals should wear bright colors to be easily picked out by security.
Meghan has worn the color green on several occasions
One color Meghan appears to fancy more than the others is the color green. She has been spotted wearing green on several occasions. It tends to be a darker, forest green. But she has also worn army green on occasion, and green printed with florals or other patterns has appeared in her wardrobe, too. In fact, Cosmopolitan detailed several times when Meghan rocked a green outfit. One memorable place? During her engagement interview with Prince Harry.
Green was also very present at Meghan’s wedding
In addition to being a popular color in Meghan’s everyday life, green also appeared in several areas of Meghan and Harry’s wedding. Meghan’s mother wore mint green to her daughter’s wedding. Perhaps even more important than the mother-of-the-bride’s outfit was the queen’s outfit, which was a pastel green. (Queen Elizabeth II is known for wearing vibrant pastels.) In the couple’s wedding photo, which the royal family featured on Instagram, the green from Doria Ragland’s dress and the queen’s dress is very noticeable. The bouquets, which were mostly green, stood out as well. Plus, since Meghan once had a lifestyle blog, she is very up to date on trends and what looks best on her. This could explain why she has taken such a liking to the color.
The color represents life, renewal, and nature
Green is an important color. It represents plenty of things, but most importantly, it stands for life, renewal, and nature. According to BournCreative, green is also the most relaxing color for the human eye to view. And Meghan is a big fan of renewal and relaxation. Her mother was a yoga instructor, and Meghan has grown a love for the activity herself. The color soothes and relaxes, similarly to yoga. And the fact that the color complements Meghan’s appearance, plus its relaxing nature, make it totally understandable why she’d love green the most.
