Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Says He’s Worried About Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Amid Arrest Drama
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is weighing in on his Jersey Shore co-star’s arrest drama. Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was arrested for kidnapping in Los Angeles on October 4 after a physical altercation with his girlfriend Jen Harley, but Sorrentino says he hasn’t heard from his friend since the incident, despite reaching out to see how he is doing.
The Situation says Ronnie hasn’t returned his text messages
Sorrentino appeared on the October 10 episode of Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s podcast It’s Happening with Snooki & Joey.
“Yes, listen, this whole situation is really bizarre. It really is,” he said, of the fight between Ortiz-Magro and Harley.
“There are a lot of opinions,” Sorrentino went on to say. “There is a long list of bizarre crazy things that have happened. I don’t know. At this particular point, I am just going to say, I am going to pray for him, his family, the baby, his future.”
The 37-year-old Sorrentino, who just completed an eight-month sentence for tax evasion in September, also said he’d reached out to Ortiz-Magro, but he hadn’t heard back from him.
“He’s not answering texts,” he said. “I’ve been texting him for days.”
“At first, I was a bit stern,” he said. “I was like, ‘Listen, wake the f**k up and call me. We’re worried.’ Then, he didn’t answer back, I went with a little softer approach, ‘Bro, I am here for you.’”
He says he doesn’t know the full story yet
In the meantime, the reality TV star said he’s reserving judgment on the incident, where Ortiz-Magro allegedly attacked his on-again, off-again girlfriend Harley while they were staying at an Airbnb in Los Angeles. Police had to subdue him with a taser. Ortiz-Magro and Harley’s 17-month-old daughter Ariana was present during the altercation, but she was unharmed. The couple has reportedly ended their relationship “for good” since Ortiz-Magro’s arrest, a source told Us Weekly.
“There are three sides to a story — his side, her side, and the truth,” Sorrentino said. “I don’t really know what happened, so we’re going to have to speak to him first to get his truth, and then we can guide him going forward and put these mistakes behind,.”
Snooki thinks Harley was showing her bruises on purpose
During the conversation about Ortiz-Magro’s arrest, Snooki took issue with a recent paparazzi photo of Harley where she’s seen with multiple large bruises on her shoulder and thigh. Polizzi accused her of trying to “show off” her injuries.
“I feel like she went out intentionally to get a photo of her,” she said.
“You can go out with your daughter and have lunch, but cover it up so it’s not a thing. She wants it to be a thing,” the 31-year-old added.
Snooki also said that she’d reached out to Ortiz-Magro, but like Sorrentino, had not received a response.
