Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino’s Wife Is So Done with People Asking When He’ll Get Out of Prison
Lauren Sorrentino has had enough with the questions about when Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino will be done with his prison stint. The wife of the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star shared a sweet and funny post on Instagram expressing her feelings about waiting for his release.
Lauren Sorrentino is ready for the Situation to come home
Lauren and Mike were only married for a few months before he had to report to a federal prison in upstate New York to serve an 8-month sentence for tax evasion. While the couple seem to have a positive attitude and to be keeping their spirits up while they’re separated, there’s no doubt that they’re ready to reunite.
“My 🧠 anytime someone asks me when my husbands home,” read the caption on a photo of a clock with the numbers scattered and falling that Lauren shared on Instagram September 5.
The previous week, she couldn’t control her facial expression when a reporter at the MTV Video Music Awards asked Lauren and some of the other Jersey Shore ladies “Where are the boys?” Lauren didn’t answer the question, but her pained wince spoke volumes.
The 33-year-old Lauren later told a reporter that she was there representing her husband. “I feel like I’m representing for him and I feel strong enough to do so, with the girls next to me,” she said. “We’re lucky and we’re so excited for him to be home.”
She says that she feels ‘drained’
On Instagram, one follower pointed out that people who are asking about Mike’s whereabouts are likely excited to see him get out of prison and reunite with his wife.
“People are excited for you! I hope you can see it that way and not think the worst of people,” wrote the commenter.
“I do see it that way! I am just as excited & appreciate for all the love, just also drained,” Lauren replied.
Fortunately, Lauren has a strong support network to rely on while her husband is away, which includes the Jersey Shore crew. Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi commented on the post, writing “Aw mawma love u ❤️” Others on social media also chimed in, urging her to “hang in there.”
The Situation gets outs of prison on September 12
Lauren and Mike don’t have too much longer to wait until they can be together again. The Situation is scheduled to be released from the minimum security camp at FCI Otisville on Thursday, September 12, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
However, Mike won’t exactly be home free on that date. After leaving prison, he’ll be subject to two years of supervised release. During that time, he’ll have to report to a probation officer and will be subject to certain rules (for example, he might need to get permission to travel or be banned from purchasing a gun). If he violates the terms of his release, he could be sent back to prison. He also has to pay $123,913 in restitution and a criminal fine of $10,000.
