Miley Cyrus Reveals That She’s Being Hospitalized
Something is going on with Miley Cyrus.
On Oct. 8, the “Slide Away” singer revealed that she’s being hospitalized after battling an illness earlier in the week. It was an update that obviously had fans freaking out. But Cyrus has assured them that she’s doing OK.
What’s going on with Cyrus?
According to Today, Cyrus is dealing with a bout of tonsillitis, which is inflammation of the tonsils. Mayo Clinic reports that symptoms include fever, sore throat, difficult or painful swallowing, and tender lymph nodes on the side of the neck.
Cyrus announced on Oct. 7 that she was suffering from tonsillitis, and by the following day, it had gotten so bad that she had to see a doctor.
The same day, she shared photos from the hospital on Instagram. “Trying to heal as
“How you present yourself can determine how you feel!” she wrote in a later post that showed her mother, Tish Cyrus, styling her hair. “Thank you
But Tish wasn’t the only one who paid her a visit.
Cody Simpson visited Cyrus in the hospital, too
Later on Oct. 8, Cyrus’ reported love interest, Cody Simpson, visited her, surprising the singer with flowers and playing a song he’d written for her.
“Suddenly I am feeling much better,” Cyrus captioned one video, adding in the next: “This
She also referred to the Australian crooner as her “boyfriend” for the very first time.
Cyrus and Simpson’s relationship is new
The singers were linked for the first time on Oct. 3 when they were seen kissing during breakfast in Los Angeles.
The outing came about two weeks after she split from Kaitlynn Carter, whom she started seeing amid her separation from Liam Hemsworth.
Cyrus’s representative confirmed on Aug. 10 that the singer and Hemsworth had separated, but sources claimed that there was a chance they could reconcile. However, that reportedly went out the window when the Hunger Games actor saw photos of Cyrus and Carter kissing on Aug. 10. He filed for divorce 11 days later. (Their divorce settlement will reportedly be finalized by Oct. 31.)
Cyrus and Carter went on to begin a relationship. But they called it quits about a month later, with a source telling People on Sept. 22, “Miley doesn’t want a serious relationship. She and Kaitlynn spent every day together, and it just wasn’t anything that Miley wanted to continue doing. She wants to focus on her career.”
But perhaps she’s changed her mind now. Anyways, we wish Cyrus a speedy recovery.
