‘Million Dollar Listing’ Celebrates 8 Seasons With Babies and a Halloween Party

As season eight of Million Dollar Listing New York comes to a close, brokers celebrate with their newest additions … and Ryan Serhant as Superman.

The show has made significant strides, plucking young, hungry New York City real estate agents and transforming them into Manhattan rock stars. When OG cast members Ryan Serhant and Fredrik Eklund debuted on the show in 2012, both were trying to launch their businesses. Plus both agents were single and dating.

In eight seasons, viewers watched Serhant and Eklund build a real estate empire in the Big Apple. They also witnessed both brokers fall in love, get married and have children. New fan favorite brokers have also joined the cast, which includes Steve Gold and Luis D. Ortiz who also became fathers this year.

The season of babies

Serhant shared an epic photo of the agents and their children. “8 years later… Thursday night. Season Finale. 9 PM,” he wrote. Eklund responded, “Million (dollar) babies.” Then Gold added, “Season of babies!”

Four out of the five agents on the New York franchise have welcomed children in the last year. First to take the plunge was Eklund who had a strong desire to become a father. Cameras followed his emotional and painful struggle as he and husband Derek Kaplan tried to make surrogacy work. After failed attempts, Kaplan and Eklund welcomed adorable twins, Milla and Fredrik Jr. Eklund’s twins are about to turn two years old.

Serhant and his wife also faced their own set of challenges. When the couple embarked upon in-vitro fertilization, Serhant didn’t publicly share when his wife became pregnant. He announced the news when his daughter Zena was born. Million Dollar Listing showed when the couple learned about the pregnancy in a sweet moment, which Serhant shot.

While Eklund and Serhant’s journey to fatherhood was a challenge, Ortiz and Gold seemed to fall into it. Gold’s girlfriend, Luiza Gawlowska, became pregnant and cameras followed the couple throughout her pregnancy. Ortiz, who had left the show, returned and revealed he too was about to become a father. He shared his daughter’s birth in a video, which he posted to Instagram.

‘I’m coming for you Ryan Serhant’

The season may have seemed like the year of the baby, but new broker Tyler Whitman brought a new fresh flavor to the show too. Whitman’s energy and quick wit soon made him another favorite broker. He embodied what the show originally embarked upon in 2012; featuring an up and coming agent breaking into the tough Manhattan luxury market.

When Serhant celebrated the end of the season with a Halloween party, Whitman was all about it. He posted a video to his Instagram story in vampire makeup and a rugged black leather jacket before the party. He walks toward the camera joking, “I’m coming for you Ryan Serhant.”

Serhant and his wife Emilia gave Instagram followers a sneak peek inside the party, which looked insanely festive. He was dressed in a Superman costume and Emilia was a cute bumblebee. Serhant made a speech during the event expressing his dismay at how far the show has come. Over Serhant’s video speech, Emilia wrote, “Proudest wife ever.”
