Miranda Lambert Keeps Proving She’s Not Over Her Divorce From Blake Shelton
We didn’t hear a lot of details after Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s epic divorce in 2015. Like so many other celebrities, these two country stars asked for privacy as they sorted through the details of the split. Rumors of cheating abounded, but even four years later no one knows exactly what happened to make Shelton and Lambert part ways.
Now both performers have moved on to new relationships. Miranda Lambert shocked fans with a surprise wedding after a whirlwind romance with NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin. Meanwhile, Blake Shelton is very involved with fellow Voice judge and platinum recording artist Gwen Stefani. Fans predict an engagement announcement any day now.
That’s what makes it so remarkable that Lambert is revealing tiny details from her divorce with Shelton. Fans can’t help but wonder: Why now?
Lambert has a love/hate relationship with the fame
Becoming a famous recording artist has plenty of pros, like money and status. But there are just as many negative aspects, too. Miranda Lambert explained some of the problems during an interview with Health magazine.
Specifically, Lambert hated how the dissolution of her relationship overshadowed the music she released around the time of her divorce.
“When everyone’s worried about your personal life, it makes you feel like, ‘Well, if you could just spend some of that time talking about my actual art, that would be great!'” she said. “But I guess I asked for it, getting into this business. I’m never gonna get used to the public eye in that way.”
No one knows what made these two split up
Fans have been trying to figure out the cause of Lambert and Shelton’s split ever since it happened, but the pair remains tight-lipped about what exactly went down. In April 2018, rumors of Lambert cheating on Shelton reached a fever pitch when it was revealed that she might have begun dating then-boyfriend Evan Felker while he was still married.
“Been taking the high road for a long time.. I almost gave up,” Shelton tweeted at the time. “But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It’s karma!!”
Shelton also released a song in 2016 called “She’s Got a Way with Words” about a cheating ex, which many fans assume is based on Miranda Lambert.
Is Lambert still angry at Shelton?
Both Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert seemed content to go their separate ways for a while. But now suddenly everything is awkward again following the 2019 Country Music Association Awards. While Stefani and Shelton were seen “nodding along” when Lambert performed “It All Comes Out in the Wash,” she didn’t extend the same courtesy to her ex. When Shelton performed his award-winning single “God’s Country,” she and husband McLoughlin didn’t react well.
“Everyone stood up to clap for Blake at the end of his performance except Miranda Lambert and her husband,” a source told Us Weekly. “At the commercial break, they both left their seats.”
There seems to be some bad blood between these two even now that they’ve both moved on. We hope for everyone’s sake they work it out!
