Miranda Lambert’s Current Romantic Drama Just Got A Lot Creepier
Once again, country superstar Miranda Lambert’s love life is being splashed across the media. The “Tin Man” singer is apparently in a hot and steamy relationship with Turnpike Troubadours’ musician, Evan Felker. That really wouldn’t be major news if it weren’t for two critical things. For one, Felker is still technically very married to his wife, Staci Felker, and also, it appears that when he and Lambert’s relationship began the “Mama’s Broken Heart” singer was still very much in a relationship with musician, Anderson East.
Not only has the love triangle been dominating the news as of late, but Lambert’s ex-husband Blake Shelton also added his two cents with a super shady tweet about karma. Still, that’s not where the drama ends. It looks like the illicit romance between Lambert and Felker just reached a new level of ickiness for one shocking reason (page 6).
Some super flirty texts
Things began heating up between Lambert and Felker at the top of 2018 when the Turnpike Troubadours opened for the songstress on tour. However, the musicians were already crossing the line long before the three-day tour. Apparently, their relationship began with some text messages leading up to the performances.
A source explained to People, “They had never met and [Lambert] had started texting him about looking forward to playing together and getting to know each other and maybe they could write because she really liked his writing sort of thing. It started very much about work. He was completely thrilled. By the time he was leaving for tour, it had become a lot flirtier.”
Next: This is how Felker told his wife he wasn’t coming home.
A shocking email
Things must have really popped off between Lambert and Felker on tour, because he never returned home to Oklahoma to his wife, Staci. Instead, Felker continued traveling with Lambert. An insider told People that Staci was utterly blind sighted when she received an email from her new husband saying, “I’m not coming home this week.”
In fact, leading up to the email, Staci thought everything was going smoothly in her marriage. Felker was calling home every evening of the tour until the very end. That all changed quickly. An insider told US Weekly, “They did not have marital problems, so Staci did not think anything would happen. He went on tour, and he did not come home.”
Next: The musician changed his phone number and vanished.
We thought this only happened after really bad dates, but apparently, husbands can ghost their wives as well. After diving headfirst into his affair with Lambert, Felker completely ghosted Staci, even changing his phone number until he filed for divorce in Feb. 2018. Apparently, Staci had to learn the news from a local newspaper because he had completely shut her out.
A source close to the former couple told People that Felkner finally reached out to his wife in March 2018:
[He] laid it all on the table, like, “Surprise!” He’s always the kind of guy where if he screws up he comes clean.” For her part, Staci Felkner hasn’t made any public statements, but she did post a teary Instagram story of herself in April 2018, when news of Lambert and Felkner’s relationship broke. In the caption she wrote, “PSA: If Staci Felker can make it through this week, so can you.
Next: Staci in the spotlight
It looks like Staci Felker never wanted the demise of her marriage to be public knowledge. (Who would?) In fact, once she realized that the Turnpike Troubadours frontman wanted out of their marriage, she wanted to get things done swiftly and quietly. Felker for his part did not share that sentiment, and as a result, his wife has been dragged into the spotlight.
An insider revealed to US Weekly, “Anyone who actually speaks to Staci knows she has wanted out of this marriage for months. Evan is the one who disappeared again and changed his phone number. They both planned to end this quietly. Staci has never wanted to go to court and Evan told Staci he did not want to either, so there is probably someone a little more powerful dictating all of this.”
Next: A very strange move
A really odd turn of events
In May 2018, Felker made another shocking decision, filing a scheduling order to end his marriage. Apparently, he feared that Staci woul, “unduly delay” the divorce. Since divorces do take a little time, it seems peculiar that Felker would be in this much of a rush to sign on the dotted line.
It also seems strange because more paperwork continues to keep Staci in the spotlight. For her part, the stunning brunette appears to be taking the end of her marriage in stride. She posted a cryptic message on Instagram after the motion was filed of a book cover that read, “WELL I WAS CLEARLY MORE INTO THAT THAN YOU WERE: A LOVE STORY.”
Could there be another reason why the Felker is trying to be a single man so quickly?
Next: The real reason behind the speedy divorce.
Trying for a baby
Many people, including Staci Felker, believe that Lambert is behind the scheduling order. In fact, Life & Style is reporting that the musician is trying to make his divorce final so that he can begin trying for a family with Lambert ASAP.
While it’s only early days in her relationship with Evan, Miranda would love to have a baby with him. Miranda would like him to be divorced first, but the truth is she doesn’t really care that it’s not official yet. She’s really happy with Evan and sees herself building a life and a family with him. If Evan’s divorce ends up being drawn out and she were to get pregnant, she could give birth before it’s finalized and actually have a baby with a married man. Miranda is longing for a family of her own.
Next: Going all in.
Jumping into marriage
Others are speculating that the two musicians are desperate to tie the knot with one another. This seems extremely quick because they’ve only known each other for a few months, but perhaps the heart really does want what it wants.
If nothing else, we’re sure some good country songs will come out of all of this drama.
Next: Problems staying faithful
Doing whatever she wants
Lambert is known for living her life the way she chooses despite how it may affect anyone else. Though she obviously can’t make anyone leave their significant other, we can’t help but wonder if she doesn’t believe in karma.
A friend of the Grammy winner told Us Weekly that Lambert has “a problem staying faithful to anyone but didn’t steal Evan from his wife.”
We hope this all works all for all parties involved, especially Staci Felker.
