Given the on-screen chemistry between Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, it should come as no surprise that a TV series spin-off focusing on the relationship between Scarlet Witch and Vision is in the works, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

What do we know about the Scarlet Witch-Vision spin-off so far?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the title of the show – simple and sweet – will be The Vision and Scarlet Witch, and will constitute one of Marvel Studios first TV shows for Disney’s upcoming streaming platform, Disney+.

The show also landed the impressive screenwriter behind Captain Marvel, Jac Schaeffer. Shaeffer – also the screenwriter behind the upcoming Black Widow standalone film and The Hustle, starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson – has been tapped to pen the pilot and executively produce the new series.

After witnessing the gem that is Captain Marvel, viewers look forward to Schaeffer’s future superhero endeavors, as well as her female-centered Dirty Rotten Scoundrels remake, for watching Hathaway and Wilson play partners in crime is destined to be movie magic.

Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen are set to return as Vision and Scarlet Witch respectively. Given the various comic book plots centered around these two, the show’s plot trajectory is up in the air. From getting married and having kids to watching Vision create an android family, anything is possible.

Will Marvel produce any other shows for Disney+?

While we know full well that Marvel – just like Ryan Murphy – likes to keep all the juicy information under wraps, it has been reported that Marvel plans to create more than one spin-off series for Disney+. One miniseries may focus on Loki (portrayed by Tom Hiddleston in the Avengers saga), while another will have Falcon and Winter Soldier team-up, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

With all the Marvel standalone shows coming to the Disney+ streaming platform, it looks like Netflix may have a little bit of competition on the horizon. For we all know, Disney is the Apple of the movie world.

As we wait for Avengers: Endgame, the ultimate finale to a saga over a decade in the making, find solace in the fact that several of the Avengers you have come to know and love will not be gone for good. Soon enough, many of them will make their way to the small screen.
