Here are our picks for some of the very best films available with your Amazon Prime subscription!

‘Iron Man 2’

In advance of the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, catch up with one of the most popular Avengers, Iron Man himself. Released in 2010, the film follows the struggles of Tony Stark right after he reveals to the world that he is Iron Man. He encounters scheming scientists and a rogue Russian villain, all while learning to come to terms with the fact that the public knows him as a superhero. Iron Man 2 cemented Robert Downey, Jr.’s place as a bonafide Marvel star, and set the stage for several big-budget films in the franchise, including Captain America: The First Avenger

‘Hitch’

No one does romantic comedy better than Will Smith and Hitch is definitely one of his best. This funny, heartwarming movie tells the story of Alex Hitchens, a New York City matchmaker who helps pair shy bachelors up with the women of their dreams. Hitchens, himself, suffers from his own personal traumas, which gossip columnist Sara Melas helps to unveil. Smith is definitely the highlight of this 2005 comedy, which also features Eva Mendes, Amber Valletta, and Kevin James.

‘Wayne’s World’

This cult comedy is widely regarded as one of the absolute best of the SNL-inspired films, and for good reason. Mike Myers and Dana Carvey, veterans of Saturday Night Live, are absolute perfection as rock-obsessed slackers who pursue their dream of bringing their cable-access TV show to the big time. Not only did Wayne’s World launch a plethora of catchphrases and quotable lines, but it is often credited as the film that re-introduced the classic band Queen to a new generation. Is there anyone who isn’t inspired to jam out to “Bohemian Rhapsody” after seeing Wayne and Garth belt out the lyrics in their car? The film was popular enough to merit a sequel, which didn’t do quite so well at the box office, but hardcore fans still loved seeing the characters that they had grown to love, and buzz about a possible third film still lingers, proof that a good concept and a couple of lovable characters stand the test of time.

‘Death at a Funeral’

A British film that offers a lion’s share of laughs, Death at a Funeral is an absolute riot. The plot is simple enough: a family has to deal with the death of a loved one while enduring all the nonsense, drama, and accidents that take place at the funeral. Death at a Funeral was a huge hit with both British and U.S. audiences and inspired an American remake that featured Chris Rock. However, in this case, the original is still the best and is guaranteed to keep you in stitches from start to finish.

‘Bad News Bears’

Raucous fun with heart, Bad News Bears is a 2004 remake of the 1970s classic. This one stars Billy Bob Thornton as a hard-drinking coach who takes on the challenge of training the local Little League team. Through luck, perseverance, and spunk, the Bears are able to learn a little bit about baseball and a lot about themselves. Bad News Bears is crude, raunchy, and absolutely hilarious, with Thornton’s take on Morris Buttermaker a total standout. Whether you love the game of baseball or just have an affinity for classic comedy, Bad News Bears is one that you will want to enjoy again and again.
