These days, Netflix is known for producing many quality original shows that have people everywhere hooked. For those who love Netflix series and cannot wait to watch more, a new one called The Chef Show will be premiering very soon.

Since it is a food program, there’s no doubt that foodies will enjoy The Chef Show. However, it looks like fans of the latest Marvel hit movie, Avengers: Endgame, will be excited for this new series as well.

Jon Favreau is known as the director of the Iron Man movies as well as an executive producer for the four Avengers films, including Avengers: Endgame. On the screen, he also plays Tony Stark’s bodyguard, Happy Hogan.

It has been recently revealed that Favreau will soon be starring on The Chef Show alongside celebrity chef Roy Choi. Favreau and Choi met on the set of the 2014 movie Chef, in which Favreau starred as a man who opens a food truck with his son. Choi worked on the set as an adviser for the menu and food seen in the film.

While working on Chef, Jon Favreau learned to appreciate different food dishes for what they bring to a culture and community. “I am so nostalgic about that time and those experiences — this series gives me the perfect opportunity to get back in the kitchen and create some new memories,” he said.

In the trailer for The Chef Show, Favreau also shared: “So much of our culture lives in our food. If you ate something growing up and you have a taste for it, you seek it out, that’s gonna keep that alive.”

Meanwhile having a food program featuring himself has always been a dream for chef Roy Choi. “I’ve always wanted a straight up cooking show since I was a child,” he shared. “I grew up on Julia Child, Paul Prudhomme, Sara Moulton, and obviously Emeril’s first show had a huge impact on my life. There is something timeless and beautiful about cooking straight to camera.”

‘The Chef Show’ will feature Jon Favreau and Roy Choi exploring food

The premise for The Chef Show involves Favreau and Choi cooking food in different places around the country while also meeting many famous faces in the culinary industry.

In the trailer, the two stars are seen making grilled cheese sandwiches, lobster rolls, and lava cakes. According to Netflix, Favreau and Choi will also smoke brisket with Aaron Franklin in Texas and honor food critic Jonathan Gold in Los Angeles.

Will Marvel stars appear on ‘The Chef Show’?

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will not want to pass up The Chef Show since a few actors in Marvel films will reunite as friends of Jon Favreau. Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland, and Gwyneth Paltrow can all be seen in the trailer. While not actors themselves, producer Kevin Feige and the famous directing team of the Russo brothers, will also be present to support Favreau. It is said that they will all sit down for a meal together in Atlanta.

Given how close the Marvel cast and crew are, there will no doubt be a lot of laughter and jokes. The trailer itself already shows a shot of Favreau and Choi cooking with Gwyneth Paltrow while Favreau shares with her the funny story of how he and Choi stopped talking to each other after filming Chef.

Aside from Marvel actors, other celebrity guests for this season of The Chef Show include comedian Bill Burr, filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, restaurateur David Chang, and many more.

The Chef Show will premiere on Netflix on June 7.
