MTV Announces The Premiere Date for ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’
Cabs are here! The cast of Jersey Shore will be back for yet another season of the famed show’s sequel. In Season 1, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation brought back the crew who crawled the Seaside Heights boardwalk so many years ago. Grown up, more responsible and far more business savvy, the original cast still brought plenty of drama to MTV, and they promise to do the same this season.
When will Jersey Shore: Family Vacation premiere?
If you’ve been missing your favorite New Jersey guidos, you won’t have to wait much longer to see them back on the small screen. MTV has officially announced that Season 2 of the famed show’s sequel will premier on July 11, 2019.
Season 2 will take up prime programming real estate at 8 pm eastern on Thursdays. Nicole, Pauly D, Vinny, Ronnie, Mike, Jenni, Deena and Angelina will all reprise their roles on the show. Sammi Giancola will not be back. Sammi appeared on the original run of Jersey Shore but opted out of returning for the show’s reboot.
Giancola had a troubled relationship with Ronnie through the show’s run and for years after, but the pair parted ways before Family Vacation was dreamt up. Giancola has since gotten engaged, while Ronnie Ortiz-Magro went on to father a child with Jen Harley.
What time frame will be covered in the show?
A lot has happened in the lives of the roommates in recent months. Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is moving through his prison stint, Ronnie has moved on from his tense relationship with his baby mama, and both Snooki and Deena have added a new man to their families. Jenni has also officially filed for divorce from Roger Matthews. While the cast members’ lives seem to be moving in hyperdrive recently, the majority of those events won’t be covered.
So, what will fans get to see? The lead up to Mike’s wedding and prison stint will be a significant storyline. Sorrentino married Lauren Pesce in November 2018. Deena’s pregnancy and Jenni’s marital strife will also be heavily featured, according to Deadline.
Fans needn’t worry about missing out on any of the latest happenings in the lives of the crew. While Season 2 will premier in July 2019, the production crew has already been spotted filming for Season 3, according to Celebrity Insider. Farley’s divorce proceedings and her new relationship will be featured in Season 3.
