‘NCIS’: Bishop And Torres Spotted Filming Season 17 – Are They Finally Together?

NCIS fans have waited a long time to see Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) finally get together and it looks like it might happen in season 17. Wickersham and Valderrama have been working closely together on the new season, which could mean that romance is in the air. The two have not revealed any spoilers about the new season, but it looks like their characters will have plenty of opportunities to grow closer when NCIS returns next month.

Are Bishop and Torres finally together?

Wickersham and Valderrama have been sharing photos from the NCIS set of season 17 on Instagram. This includes photos on both of their accounts that feature a night scene with their respective characters. The shots include Bishop and Torres working on a late-night investigation, which has sparked speculation that they might be finally getting together this season. But does working together really mean that Bishop and Torres are sparking a romance?

Based on the photos, it is difficult to tell if things are getting hot and heavy between the characters. Given their status on the NCIS team, it makes sense that Bishop and Torres would be tasked with working after hours. Of course, there is no way to tell if they will get together, but the scenes definitely open the door for them to develop their relationship further.

We already know that they both care for each other, so the next logical step is for them to open up about their feelings with each other. While they might not take the leap and get romantic, the two are clearly going to deepen their bond, even if it is only on a professional level.

‘NCIS’ teases Bishop and Torres getting romantic

Fans have shipped Bishop and Torres for a long time, and there is a good reason to believe that their time has finally come. At the end of season 16 of NCIS, the series dropped a major hint about their future together.

In the season 16 finale, Bishop and Torres joined Kasie Hines (Diona Reasonover) as Fornell (Joe Spano) tracked down the drug dealers who sold opiates to his daughter. While Fornell took out his anger on the drug lords, Kasie noted that Torres would probably do the same if something similar happened to Bishop.

The scene clearly showed how much Torres cares for Bishop and would do anything to keep her safe. Season 17 will likely expand on those feelings, and many fans believe that Bishop and Torres are going to be the show’s next big couple – just like Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) and Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly).

Ziva is expected to play a major part in the upcoming season of NCIS, so it is also possible that she gives Bishop some advice about dating a co-worker. This could easily set up an epic romance for Bishop and Torres, something fans have been waiting a long time to see unfold.

Could Ziva ruin Bishop’s chances with Torres?

Right now, there are only two people who know that Ziva is alive and well: Bishop and Gibbs (Mark Harmon). With Ziva showing herself to Gibbs, there is no telling when she will do the same to the rest of the team. If she decides to remain in hiding, Bishop will have to hide a major secret from Torres, a move that could drive a wedge between them. Bishop has always been the more open of the two, and Torres might think something is amiss if she continues to evade him.

There is also the NCIS fan theory that Bishop cannot see Torres because she is still married. Fortunately, there is no truth to this one. Bishop officially got divorced from her former husband, Jake Malloy, and is free to get married once again. This is one reason why Qasim Naasir proposed to Bishop before his tragic death a few seasons back. Bishop and Torres may not be ready to start a romantic relationship, but she is definitely free to date whoever she chooses.

Season 17 of NCIS is scheduled to premiere September 24 on CBS.
