‘NCIS: New Orleans’: Will Elvis Return This Season?
A lot has happened so far in season 6 of NCIS: New Orleans. Not only has Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) come back from near-death and that whole Apollyon mess, but fans lost Special Agent, Christopher LaSalle in a shocking twist. The show is on a hiatus until February, but when it returns, will we see any recurring characters like Elvis Bertrand (Tom Arnold)?
Who is Elvis?
Elvis Bertrand is a computer hacker and friend of Pride on NCIS: New Orleans. He’s only been in a handful of episodes but his expertise helped the team solve a few crimes. One of which came when Pride faced a trial by a grand jury so you could say Elvis’s help is much appreciated.
However, you never know when, or if, the elusive character will appear. One episode revealed the NOLA team was searching for an expert computer hacker associated with “The Collective,” which is a “hacktivist organization” created and led by Elvis.
Last viewers saw of him in season 5, Elvis’s daughter became linked to an NCIS murder case. This time tables turned and he needed Pride’s help to clear her name.
Will Elvis return in Season 6 of ‘NCIS: New Orleans’?
Luckily, Elvis had never been completely written out of the show so he could come and go as he pleases. As a secret hacker living in the shadows, he’s not always the easiest to find if you need him. It’s more like he’ll find you.
As for whether Elvis (or another recurring character, Isler) will return in season 6 to help the team, executive producers, Jan Nash and Christopher Silber previously told Parade it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
“It wouldn’t be a season of NCIS: New Orleans without Isler (Derek Webster) or Elvis (Tom Arnold),” Silber said. “Adding recurring characters is what gives it color.”
What else is Tom Arnold up to?
According to Arnold’s IMDb page, Arnold has a couple of projects completed and in post-production including High Hollywood and Hollywood.Con. That aside, there aren’t many gaps in his resume and it spans all the way back to 1991. The man stays busy.
His Instagram page shows his charity work with the Miracle on 1st Street Toy Giveaway, which he participates in for 26 years. This year he welcomed co-host and friend, Arnold Schwarzenegger to help him hand out toys.
Arnold has also recently been part of cameo, a service that allows celebrities to charge a fee in exchange for a personalized shoutout.
It’s hard to say when Arnold’s character, Elvis, will show up on the NOLA streets again, but with Silber’s blessing, we’re sure we won’t have to wait long.
