‘NCIS’: Phineas Makes His Return. Is His Mother Up to No Good?
This week on “NCIS,” Gibbs’ neighbor, Phineas, is back. The team also looks into a petty officer’s murder. Here’s everything Showbiz Cheat Sheet knows about the upcoming “NCIS” episode.
Phineas is back–and his mother has a request for Gibbs
Part of this week’s episode will once again focus on Phineas (Jack Fisher) and Gibbs (or Jethro Gibbs as Phineas likes to call him). The week before, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) got a phone call and then mysteriously disappeared, leaving his wallet, badge, and phone. Although he said he was helping Fornell and his daughter, our guess was that Gibbs was doing something that involved Phineas. It’s starting to look like we might be right.
Phineas is back this week because his mother, Sarah, asks Gibbs to babysit. Sarah says she has to go on a last-minute trip related to custody issues, so she needs Gibbs to watch her son. This sounds suspicious. What kind of trip is Sarah really going on? And she just met Gibbs. We find it odd that Sarah trusts Gibbs enough to let him babysit her son after knowing him for such a short time. We’ve got our eye on Sarah. Something doesn’t seem right.
An unusual murder
In season 17, episode nine, titled “IRL,” the team investigates a petty officer’s murder. What’s unusual about this murder is that it was live-streamed on a gaming app. Only a very sick individual would do something like this. We’re confident Gibbs and his agents will figure out who is responsible.
This episode is similar to “NCIS” season 17, episode seven, titled “No Vacancy.” In this episode, surveillance cameras are found above a hotel room after someone is murdered. The team has to figure out who put the cameras in the crawl space above the room and what the circumstances were surrounding he murder. There were a lot of twists and turns, but the murderer is identified at the eleventh hour.
What happened during ‘NCIS’ season 17, episode 8
In “NCIS” season 17, episode eight (titled “Musical Chairs”), Sloane’s daughter, Faith Tolliver, makes a brief appearance. She asks Sloane to meet her so she can fill out some medical forms. Faith won’t say why she needs the forms to be filled out, so this has Sloane wondering if Faith is battling a serious illness. Slone was surprised to see Faith because in an earlier episode she made it clear that she wanted nothing to do with her mother. That’s because Sloane gave her up for adoption when she was a baby.
Also, during this episode, McGee and the team try to track down the murderer of a Navy band member. The musician died after playing a clarinet with a poisoned reed. This episode has some good music and suspense that will keep you glued to your television until the very end.
