Netflix New Releases in April 2016

Netflix will be adding a slew of new movies and television shows to its instant streaming collection throughout the coming month. From classic comedies to acclaimed dramas to more Netflix originals, here are all of the new titles hitting the streaming service in April.

1. A Clockwork Orange, April 1
In future Britain, charismatic delinquent Alex DeLarge is jailed and volunteers for an experimental aversion therapy developed by the government in an effort to solve society’s crime problem — but not all goes according to plan. Malcolm McDowell, Patrick Magee, and Michael Bates star.

2. Boogie Nights, April 1
Starring Mark Wahlberg, Julianne Moore and Burt Reynolds, this film tells the story of a young man’s adventures in the Californian pornography industry of the late 1970s and early 1980s.

3. Breathe, April 1
Charlie is an average French suburban teenager, but when she becomes fast friends with Sarah, the rebellious new girl at school, she discovers there’s nothing average about how she feels in Melanie Laurent’s sexy sophomore film.

4. Chaplin, April 1
Robert Downey Jr., Geraldine Chaplin, and Paul Rhys star in a film about the troubled and controversial life of the master comedy filmmaker Charlie Chaplin.

5. Erin Brockovich, April 1
Julia Roberts stars as an unemployed single mother becomes a legal assistant and almost single-handedly brings down a California power company accused of polluting a city’s water supply.

A story centered on the friendship between a boy and a dolphin whose tail was lost in a crab trap. Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd, and Harry Connick Jr. star.

7. Looking for Richard, April 1
Al Pacino’s deeply-felt rumination on Shakespeare’s significance and relevance to the modern world through interviews and an in-depth analysis of Richard III.

8. Morituri, April 1
Starring Marlon Brando, Yul Brynner and Janet Margolin, this film is about a war pacifist who is blackmailed to pose as an SS officer and to disable the scuttling explosives on freighter carrying rubber cargo to be captured by the Allies.

A young girl on the threshold of her teen years finds her life turning upside down when she is accompanied by an unlikely friend.

10. Mystic River, April 1
With a childhood tragedy that overshadowed their lives, three men are reunited by circumstance when one has a family tragedy. Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, and Kevin Bacon star.

11. The Next Best Thing, April 1
Madonna, Rupert Everett, and Benjamin Bratt star in this comedy drama. It centers on Abbie, tired of failed relationships, has a one-night-stand with her gay friend; they agree to raise the resulting baby together.

Starring George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, and Diane Lane, an unusually intense storm pattern catches some commercial fishermen unaware and puts them in mortal danger.

33. Transporter 3, April 1
Starring Jason Statham, Robert Knepper, and Natalya Rudakova, Frank Martin puts the driving gloves on to deliver Valentina, the kidnapped daughter of a Ukranian government official, from Marseilles to Odessa on the Black Sea. 34. Uncommon Valor, April 1

40. The Phantom, April 1
Starring Billy Zane, Kristy Swanson, and Treat Williams. The Phantom, descendent of a line of African superheroes, travels to New York City to thwart a wealthy criminal genius from obtaining three magic skulls which would give him the secret to ultimate power.
