So much great content has yet to arrive on Netflix in 2021, and some of it will be released in May. The streamer has a full lineup of films on its schedule — including Army of the Dead and Oxygen — and a number of its hit series are set to return with new episodes. Prepare for more Lucifer and fresh seasons for these TV shows.

‘Selena: The Series’

Season 2 of Selena with Christian Serratos drops on Netflix on May 4. By the close of season 1, Selena’s career was on the rise as she tried to figure out her romance with Chris. The second chapter will explore more of the Quintanilla family’s story and Selena’s road to independence.

Since this is the final season for the series, fans will get to embrace these nine episodes as a celebration of the artist and her contribution to pop culture.

‘Castlevania’

Netflix’s flagship original anime series Castlevania will take a final bow on May 13. Season 4 is the last season and one to watch as Trevor Belmont’s story with Dracula comes to an end. The cult favorite is not completely saying farewell, as Netflix is planning a spinoff in the same universe.

Who Killed Sara?’

Fans did not have to wait long to see more of the hit Spanish-language show, Who Killed Sara? Season 2 will pick up with Alex seeking answers about his sister and the skeleton buried in his back yard. The audience wants answers too.

Who locked Rodolfo in the sauna? What is Clara’s agenda? What does Marifer have up her sleeve? And who really killed Sara when she had so many enemies? Tune in to Netflix on May 19 for part 2 of the mystery.

‘Master of None’

After a long hiatus, Master of None will drop on the streamer with its third season on May 23. Aziz Ansari’s Dev won’t be front and center in this installment, but the series will follow Denise’s relationship with her partner Alicia. Season 3 will consist of five episodes written by Lena Waithe and Ansari.

‘Lucifer’

Lucifans are ready to exalt the devil when Lucifer Season 5B finally arrives on Netflix. Set for a May 28 release, the other eight episodes of the season will pick up with Dennis Haysbert’s God intervening in his children’s drama. He may even stir some up.

Season 5 was originally written as an end to the popular series, but Netflix greenlit a bonus sixth season that will cap off each character’s story. Catch up with Lucifer, Chloe, Maze, Amenadiel, Ella, Detective Douche, and a few old faces when the show comes back.

‘The Kominsky Method’

Michael Douglas is back as Sandy Kominsky in The Kominsky Method for its third and final season. This time, Sandy will be without his friend Norman Newlander but ex-wife Roz is sure to occupy some of his time — and not in a good way.

Hailey Joel Osment, Emily Osment, and Lisa Edelstein also reprise their roles as the show closes out with six episodes. Season 3 drops on May 28.
