The actors announced the news on Instagram
The sequel of the beloved Netflix movie has officially begun production and fans cannot wait to see what this sequel is set to bring.
To officially announce the well-awaited news, stars Noah Centineo and Lana Condor tapped a little into their TATBILB characters and gave fans a one of a kind announcement.
Condor is seen laying on her bed coming up with a few Christmas gift ideas for her co-stars. Then, Centineo calls Condor on FaceTime before they reveal their little secret together.
“By the way, if we’re going to do this thing, we are going to need a new contract,” Condor mentions to Centineo, who responds with his signature “Woah, woah, woah!”
Then, Condor finally reveals the news, “I am so excited, it is officially official! We are making the To All the Boys sequel!” she excitedly said as Centineo agreed: “Bring on the sequel!”
TATBILB is a fan favorite
Once the “cat was out of the bag”, fans were given a small teaser of the highly anticipated movie.
As Condor is speaking with Centineo, the actress gets an incoming phone call from another actor whose name has yet to be revealed. Seconds into the phone call, Condor exclaims, “You’re gonna make the perfect John Ambrose!”
For any of you who do not know who John Ambrose is, he is one of Lara Jean’s (Condor’s character in the movie) childhood friends and a recipient of one of her many love letters.
The movie centers around Lara Jean, a high school girl who writes love letters to her boys she has loved at one point in time. Lara Jean keeps these letter hidden, that is until the letters get mailed out, which forces Lara Jean to come clean about her feeling once and for all.
To All The Boys I Loved Before left us in shock when John Ambrose McClaren, one of Lara Jean’s childhood crushes, shows up at her front door with a letter and a bouquet of flowers in hand at the end of the movie.
Talk about a cliffhanger!
True fans already know of John Ambrose McClaren’s return
Not wanting to spoil any grueling details but if this sequel is following along with the events that take place in the second book of the To All The Boys I Loved Before trilogy, P.S. I Love You, then McClaren is set to become a potential love interest for Lara Jean, amid her just beginning a relationship with the swoon-worthy Peter Kavinsky.
Will this new arrival test Lara Jean and Peter’s relationship? Ahh the suspense.
