New Mom Janet Jackson Launches New Tour | See Her First Post-Baby Concert Pics
Janet Jackson showed off her latest dance moves – as well as her slim post-baby body – when she launched her “State of the World” tour on Thursday. The 51-year-old singer and mom to eight-month-old Eissa kicked off the tour with a concert in Lafayette, La.
Among Jackson’s multi-outfit, form-fitting ensemble for the concert were her signature all-black outfits as well as a 90s-esque pair of belted blue jeans paired with a white top.
Fans who attended the concert posted photos and videos on Twitter and Instagram from the performance.

Jackson performed hits including “Nasty,” “All For You,” “Miss You Much,” and “Pleasure Principle.”
The five-time Grammy winner tweeted on Wednesday that she would be arriving in Houston early on Friday in order to meet with victims of Hurricane Harvey. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner will join Jackson in visiting evacuees who are staying at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Her concert is scheduled for Friday night at Houston’s Toyota Center. Jackson will be donating the show’s proceeds to local flood relief charities, reported US Weekly.

Upcoming tour stops for Jackson include several more in Texas, followed by Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. This is her eighth concert tour.
Jackson quietly married Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana in 2012, and the two welcomed son, Eissa, this past January. Three months after the baby’s birth, the couple split. Jackson was seen at the Royal Courts of Justice in London in June to begin divorce proceedings. The “Rhythm Nation” singer returned to the United States with Eissa in July.
The youngest child of the Jackson family, the “Together Again” singer has sold over 100 million records, giving her the distinction of being one of the best-selling artists in the history of contemporary music. Jackson holds the record for the most consecutive top 10 hits on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart by a female artist, with 18 hits.
