From ‘Raya and the Last Dragon’ to ‘Gnomeo & Juliet’ — Here Are the New Movies Coming to Disney+ During March 2021

If you’re looking for something to binge-watch between episodes of Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision, Disney’s streaming platform has you covered. 

There are new movies joining Disney+ on a weekly basis, including the original animated film Raya and the Last Dragon. Here are some of the movies joining Disney’s streaming platform during March 2021.

‘Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties’ joins the Disney+ streaming platform

This character appeared in several television series’ and movies. Now, for the first time, a movie starring Garfield will be available on Disney’s streaming platform.

Voiced by Bill Murray, in this film, Garfield experiences the royal treatment when he travels to England and is mistaken to be the heir to a grand castle. 

His trip proves to be a royal pain when he learns that the evil Lord Dargis (Billy Connolly), wants to turn the castle into a resort. Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties is added to the Disney+ streaming library on March 5.

When does ‘Raya and the Last Dragon’ premiere on Disney+?

It’s time to travel to the fantasy world of Kumandra. This movie features Star Wars actor, Kelly Marie Tran, as the main character, Raya, a young warrior who teams up with the magical dragon, Sisu, voiced by Awkwafina. 

Just weeks after the trailer premiered, this movie will be available for streaming in the United States with a subscription to Disney+. Raya and the Last Dragon debuts on March 5.

‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’

Based on the novel Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, written by Ransom Riggs, this movie tells the story of the adventurous Jake, who finds a magical place after receiving clues from his grandfather. 

This home also has a few enemies and Jake must help save his new friends. Originally released in 2016, this film joins the Disney+ streaming platform library on March 12.

‘Gnomeo & Juliet’ premieres on Disney+ during March 2021

This isn’t like other romantic comedies. This film is a “2011 3D computer-animated fantasy,” featuring the voice acting of John Stevenson and Kelly Asbury. Gnomeo & Juliet, which joins the Disney+ streaming library on March 26, is loosely based on the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare.

Movies aside, several new episodes of original shows will premiere on Disney+ during March 2021. That includes the finale of WandaVision season 1 and the premiere of Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier season 1. 

There are also already released shows from television networks like Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD that are making their Disney+ debut. That includes Disney Junior Doc McStuffins: The Doc Is In, and Disney Big Hero 6 The Series.
