How do you know Centineo? Likely from Netflix. The actor has become the poster boy for teen romantic comedies on the streaming service, starring in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Sierra Burgess Is A Loser, and The Perfect Date all in the past two years.

Additionally, you may also recognize Centineo from series like The Fosters and Tagged. He has quite a few projects in the works as well, including the TATBILB sequels, period drama The Diary, and a live-action He-Man adaptation, Masters of the Universe, that’s still in pre-production.

Right now, Centineo is busy promoting his first film in theaters. He stars in Charlie’s Angels, a continuation of the universe set up in the early ’00s movies of the same name, as well as the original ’70s TV series.

Centineo portrays Langston, a “handsome nerd” according to the above trailer. He stars alongside Kristen Stewart, Elizabeth Banks, Naomi Scott, Patrick Stewart, and many more in the new action film, in theaters Nov. 15.

When he showed up at the People’s Choice Awards recently (where he accepted the award for Comedy Movie Star), many noticed that he was injured. “I tried to play basketball,” he told Jimmy Kimmel on his show. “I tore my ACL,” he added, saying that he had surgery on it.

At the Charlie’s Angels premiere, Centineo showed ET his “ergonomic crutch cane,” as well as his walking brace that allows him to walk on it. “It’s painful at times,” he confesses. Centineo also broached the subject of his previous Instagram Story in which he showed fans how difficult it was for him to take a shower with his injury.

Speaking of recent developments in his life, Centineo, who is known for his luscious brown locks, began showing off a freshly-shorn look last month. Some of his fans weren’t exactly pleased. “I’ve been wanting to shave my head for years,” Centineo told Kimmel. “I know, it’s like a huge deal.”

When asked why he chose to cut off all of his hair, the actor said, “I promised myself I was going to wait until I had a film go into theaters to buzz my head, or to get a tattoo.” Centineo added that his plan was to wait until he was “a household name,” which, let’s face it, he certainly is!

Here’s who he’s dating

Centineo has been relatively tight-lipped about his personal life in the past. He was rumored to be dating his TATBILB co-star Lana Condor at one point, but this was cleared up. Recently, he’s confirmed that he’s dating Alexis Ren, a model. The two had their first public appearance in Oct. 2019.

Speaking to ET at the Charlie’s Angels premiere, Centineo, who was flying solo, said that Ren was in Tahiti, “raising money and awareness for coral.” (He wrote, “I love you so much” in the comments of the above photo.) He added that she’s “the angel in [his] life.” Talk about a sweet couple!
