Orange Is the New Black’s Litchfield prison is getting a new inmate, and she’s about to cause a whole lot of trouble. The acclaimed Netflix series has reportedly just cast Australian actress Ruby Rose for a major role in its highly anticipated upcoming third season.

The star announced her new gig in the latest issue of Elle magazine, in which she was named one of the magazine’s fresh faces to watch on TV in 2015. As Netflix later confirmed to Buzzfeed, Rose will portray the character of Stella Carlin, a new inmate at Litchfield Federal Correctional Institution “whose sarcastic sense of humor and captivating looks quickly draw the attention of some of Litchfield’s inmates.” At least some of that attention will be romantically driven. Per the Elle article, Stella will become a “lust object” of both Piper and Alex  (played by Taylor Schilling and Laura Prepon, respectively), only further complicating the already convoluted relationship between the exes.

The role marks the first major acting gig for Rose, who is currently best known as a model, DJ, and MTV VJ in her native Australia. Given the avid following the award-winning show has cultivated since its debut, the part will likely put her on path to become a household name stateside, as well. Not that she doesn’t already have her fair share of fans on her own — those who are familiar with the star have already begun flooding social media with their excitement over the role, as evidenced by enthusiastic tweets compiled by Buzzfeed.

News of her casting also likely came as a thrill to dedicated OITNB viewers, who have been eagerly awaiting any information about Season 3. As is usually the case in all things OITNB-related, showrunner Jenji Kohan has been keeping details regarding the forthcoming season under tight wraps. Though specifics are scarce, some general facts have been confirmed, including the departure of Pablo Schreiber’s Officer “Pornstache” Mendez from the show and the full-time return of Prepon’s character, Alex Vause, who appeared in only a handful of episodes in Season 2 but will reportedly appear in nearly every installment of the new season.

Prepon’s character isn’t the only one that’s about to get more screen time. Many of the returning actors on the show were promoted to series regulars after the second season, including Selenis Leyva (Gloria), Nick Sandow (Joe Caputo), Adrienne C. Moore (Black Cindy), Samira Wiley (Poussey), and Dascha Polanco (Dayanara Diaz). Polanco, in particular, will likely have a large role, as her pregnant character comes closer and closer to her due date. Lori Petty, who played a minor role as Piper’s plane seatmate last season, is also expected to have a larger role in Season 3.

Meanwhile, Rose is only one of several guest stars recently added to the large ensemble cast, although hers is the one we have the most information about. Mary Steenburgen has also been cast, reportedly as Pornstache’s mother. Comedian Mike Birbiglia also has a new role on the show, as does Fringe‘s Blair Brown, although it’s unclear who they’ll play.

With the addition of Rose and the three other new cast members, it looks like fans have plenty more drama in store for them. OITNB’s third season is set to hit Netflix sometime around June.
